I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 616

If the crowd had been skeptical of Valerie's wild claims before, the undeniable photographic evidence shattered their doubts.

Commissioner Jasper Sterling's face darkened instantly.

He had noticed the electric undercurrents between Zoe and Hayden at the Command Center, but he had assumed Hayden was the one doing the chasing. Zoe didn't strike him as the type of woman to throw herself at a taken man.

These photos told a very different, deeply disappointing story.

Beside him, Harvey felt a crushing wave of disillusionment.

Sebastian Shaw was stunned.

Marcus Sommer simply pressed his lips together in grim realization. No wonder Hayden and Zoe were always sharing loaded glances at the base.

The 'coincidental' trips to the control room, the overlapping vacation daysβ€”it all made sense now. They were having a full-blown affair.

"I never would have guessed Zoe was like that behind closed doors..."

Sebastian leaned in and whispered to Timothy Yates. Timothy let out a heavy, exhausted sigh. "Mr. Shaw, you've got it all wrong."

Sebastian blinked. He had expected Timothy to be crushed. He knew Timothy had a massive crush on Zoe. He had even thought they would make a great couple.

With a scandal this big, Zoe's reputation was ruined. But instead of grieving the loss of his crush, Timothy was defending her.

"I know it hurts, Timothy, but there are plenty of fish in the sea," Sebastian said sympathetically.

"No, that's not what I mean," Timothy corrected him, his voice tight. "Hayden and Zoe are married. They literally have children together. Plural."

"What?!" Sebastian's jaw practically hit the floor.

He stared at Timothy as if the man had just suffered a psychotic break.
