It wasn't until almost noon that Director Yates and a few team leaders pushed the glass doors open, looking visibly drained.

As they walked back to their desks, they couldn't help but vent.

"Mr. Vaughn was genuinely furious this time. He's got a nasty cold sore on the corner of his mouth, almost looks like he got bitten."

"Who'd have the guts to bite him? But you're right, I've never seen him that enraged, even on a bad day."

"It's been months of going back and forth, and we still haven't delivered a draft that satisfies him. He has every right to be angry."

"You can't blame us entirely. We've tried our best. Having every single submission brutally rejected has completely destroyed our confidence."

Director Yates stopped by Sienna's desk and glanced at her monitor. "How's the reading coming along?"

Sienna looked up. "There are a lot of pages. I'm only on the third file."

"That's fine, you're actually reading quite fast," Yates said. "Put those files on hold for now. After lunch, I'll send you a brief. Just draft a basic concept and send it to me before you clock out today."

Liam Carter had spotted Sienna sitting in the opposite corner of the room first thing in the morning.

Though their desks were far apart, it was still vastly closer than being on entirely different floors.

During the lunch hour, while Sienna was still busy at her desk, footsteps approached from behind. She looked up and saw his familiar face.

Sienna despised his condescending tone. "Every role in this department is essential, and no one is missing a piece of the puzzle. You aren't any better or more noble than the rest of us."

She shoved past the man blocking her way and headed downstairs to find Mindy.

After her lunch break, Sienna returned to her desk and began tackling the design brief Director Yates had sent her.

It was just a preliminary conceptual outline, nothing overly formal—more of a practical test to gauge her skill level before assigning her actual work.

By mid-afternoon, Sienna emailed her completed assignment to Director Yates.

Yates was astonished by her speed, but upon opening the file, she was genuinely blown away by the creative vision.

Not only was she incredibly fast, but she had presented three entirely distinct design proposals. Each one was logically structured, well-thought-out, and brimming with fresh creativity.

"You really are talented. I should have poached you for the Design Department on your first day. You probably would have been promoted by now," Director Yates praised, her eyes drifting over toward Liam's desk. "Look at him. You both graduated from the same university, and he's already a team leader."
