His Wicked Obsession (Archer and Virginia) novel Chapter 208

The group of about seven or eight people immediately swarmed them the moment they spotted her.

"Virginia! You finally showed your face!" Mrs. Price charged to the front, pointing a finger so close it practically poked Virginia in the eye. "My daughter cries every single day and refuses to eat, and it's all your fault!"

"Pay up! You're not leaving until you compensate us!"

"Exactly! I wasn't even that bad before, but after two sessions with you, I can't sleep through the night! I'm on the verge of a breakdown!" Piper yelled aggressively, backing up her mother.

Virginia took a step back, forcing herself to remain calm. "Mrs. Price, there are complete records of your daughter's treatment. Gathering a mob to harass me doesn't make you right."

Just then, Archer stepped in front of her, shielding her behind him.

His voice was icy, a dangerous storm brewing in his eyes. "Since you've decided to take legal action, everything will be settled by the court's verdict."

"...Who has time to wait for a verdict?! My daughter can't wait!"

The middle-aged man shoved his way to the front. "Oh, look at this, she's got a man protecting her! Who the hell are you?! Some capitalist pig? Dressed all fancy, thinking you can bully us regular folks with your money?!"

"Fine! Since he's so rich, let him pay for you!"

"You're not getting a dime." Archer's tone was frigid, radiating an aura that screamed 'do not approach'. "Until the verdict is out, your actions constitute harassment. I will be retaining evidence of this."

"Spit! What evidence? You rich people only know how to throw your weight around!"

The middle-aged man suddenly shoved Archer's shoulder.

Archer didn't even flinch.

With a darkened gaze, Archer suddenly grabbed the man's wrist, twisted it back, and forcefully pushed him away.

The man stumbled backward, the color instantly draining from his face.

Seeing this, the other two men lunged forward—one throwing a punch, the other reaching for Archer's collar.

Even passing pedestrians rushed over to intervene, quickly pinning Piper and her accomplices down.

Seeing Virginia completely surrounded, Archer's eyes went dangerously dark. He took massive strides, yanking her securely into his arms and using his own body as a shield against the screaming women.

"Are you hurt?"

Virginia shook her head, staring coldly at the mob.

"I'm fine. I'm calling the police about this."

"You have the nerve to call the cops?! Do it... Let go of me!"

The security guards held the women back and successfully subdued the men before dialing the police.

Ignoring the chaotic crowd, Archer—whose expression was colder than usual—shrugged off his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders.
