When she reached her apartment building, she saw Yorath's car parked out front.

As she approached, he stepped out and popped the trunk.

"I bought a few things. Help me carry them up."

He began pulling cardboard boxes out, stacking them from largest to smallest.

"I charge a porter fee," Ottilie stated flatly.

Yorath just stared at her, not saying a word.

"Twenty dollars a trip," she clarified.

Yorath's jaw tightened, a vein pulsing visibly at his temple.

"Fine."

Ottilie broke into a bright smile. "Don't lift a finger, Mr. Fordham. I'll handle all of it."

She scooped up several boxes at once and sprinted up the stairs.

The boxes weren't particularly heavy, and she managed to get everything up in five trips.

Yorath handed her a crisp hundred-dollar bill for the labor.

Looking at the money in her hand, Ottilie's mood instantly improved.

The only downside was that Yorath had brought way too much stuff. The tiny apartment was now completely overwhelmed.

You practically had to climb over the cardboard boxes just to walk across the room.

"Take a look. See if you like any of it," Yorath offered.

Curious, Ottilie grabbed a pair of scissors and began breaking down the first box.

"Whether you like it or not, I'm going to be using it," he added.

She opened the box. It was filled to the brim with high-end adult toys and lingerie.

She stared at the pile, then glanced at the remaining boxes, realizing they were all filled with the latest varieties of the same things.

Yorath liked to play rough, and he liked to push boundaries.

He would regularly go entirely without sleep, pushing her to the brink of tears with toys designed to drive a person crazy, only to wake up the next morning looking completely refreshed for work.

Keeping a perfectly straight face, Ottilie looked up. "When are you marrying Nyssa? I think these were shipped to the wrong address."

"They stay here," Yorath replied.

"The apartment is too small. There's no room."
