He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 813

As far as Dr. Solomon Lynch was concerned, Sebastian Hayes had completely lost his mind.

He was only in Coralia for Skye Campbell's surgery, and Sebastian was the one who had dragged him here.

Otherwise, even if he were a corpse, he would have had to drag himself in front of Solomon.

Solomon headed straight for the master bedroom.

Helena Wallace was locked in a deep, feverish sleep.

Solomon performed a brief examination.

"It looks like a fever, but it doesn't seem to be caused by any typical illness," Solomon stated concisely.

"What does that mean?" Sebastian frowned.

"From a basic check, there's no sign of inflammation." Solomon found it equally perplexing.

Sebastian looked at Solomon. "Then why is she burning up?"

"That's exactly why I need to send her blood out for testing. I'm a doctor, not a god—did you think I had X-ray vision?" Solomon retorted in annoyance.

"Are there any other issues?" Sebastian pressed.

"I can't be sure. We have to wait for the test results." Solomon refused to give a definitive answer.

Sebastian gave a low murmur of acknowledgment.

Solomon administered a shot of Fever Reducers to Helena.

Regardless of the underlying cause, bringing her temperature down was the immediate priority.

Sebastian watched him work, a thought suddenly crossing his mind. "She probably spiked a fever earlier and took some pills, though I'm not sure if they helped. Is it safe to give her an injection so soon after?"

"She's burning up. Not giving her the shot would be the real problem. Besides, are you even sure she took Fever Reducers?" Solomon countered sharply.

Sebastian remained silent.

He honestly had no idea what kind of medication Helena had taken.

Having finished drawing her blood, Solomon packed the vials into his portable Incubator and stood up to leave.

Sebastian listened in silence.

His long, elegant fingers tapped a rhythmic beat against the tabletop.

It was always the exact same story.

Like running into a brick wall.

Every time he investigated Helena, the results aligned perfectly without a single discrepancy.

Yet, Helena herself was a walking contradiction, leaving him entirely off-balance.

"Mr. Hayes," Carter paused for a moment. "We all know what happened when Mrs. Hayes died. Moreover, even if she were miraculously still alive, there's no way things would align this perfectly. Given how deeply Julian cares for his wife, why would he ever let her face you alone?"

As an outsider, Carter was able to state the obvious bluntly.

Sebastian continued to listen quietly, saying nothing.

"Every time we look into her, the evidence perfectly mirrors the story she told us. There's not a single flaw. It's impossible for someone's life over several decades to be documented this meticulously without a single crack," Carter stated with absolute rationality.
