He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 805

Sebastian's phone lit up relentlessly with incoming calls from Janetta.

He ignored every single one of them.

He knew exactly what she wanted: to explain, to offer endless, exhausting excuses.

Janetta always had a habit of washing her hands clean of any mess, playing the innocent victim who had nothing to do with the fallout.

Sebastian was entirely sick of hearing it.

His patience had completely evaporated.

Since he refused to answer, her text messages began flooding in, one after another.

Janetta: [Sebastian, this has nothing to do with me. You have to believe me.]

Janetta: [I was there, yes, but when I realized things were escalating, I left. The videos they have only show me arriving. I swear I had no idea what happened afterward. Besides, why would I even need to do something like that?]

Janetta: [Sebastian, you can't let this scandal drag on. You know how the press in Coralia likes to spin lies. I'm not worried about myself, but what if this affects Kyle?]

...

The messages just kept coming.

Sebastian didn't bother reading the rest.

Instead, his gaze remained fixed on Helena, who stood before him with absolute composure.

He didn't look away, meeting her steady gaze head-on.

"Did you arrange this?" Sebastian asked mildly.

He wasn't stupid, and there was no point in playing dumb.

Helena had executed the takedown so brilliantly that feigning ignorance would only be an insult to them both.

"Haven't you already figured it out, Mr. Hayes?" Helena smiled back at him.

She didn't try to hide her satisfaction, looking at him with unapologetic candor.

Sebastian's eyes remained unreadable. "Charlotte Morgan didn't die. That was her up there, wasn't it?"

Helena neither confirmed nor denied it.

"What exactly happened back then?" he pressed.

"A smart man like you doesn't need me to spell it out. If the paparazzi in Coralia could dig it up, I'm sure you can manage," Helena replied, a teasing edge to her voice.

"How did you meet her?" Sebastian asked, unbothered by her deflection.

"By chance," Helena answered smoothly.

Helena turned and walked toward the fitting room.

The boutique staff hurried ahead to prepare the garment.

Just as she stepped inside, her phone rang. It was her assistant.

"Ms. Wallace, Sebastian's team has intervened. They're suppressing the news," the assistant reported.

"He doesn't control the narrative in Coralia. Let the rumors simmer here, and they'll eventually bleed back into Riverton and The Capital," Helena replied coolly.

Her implication was clear: ignore whatever damage control Sebastian attempted.

Her assistant acknowledged the order without further questions.

Helena set her phone aside just as the designer stepped in to help her into the gown.

The dress hugged her figure flawlessly.

It was a masterpiece of understated luxury, elegant without being gaudy.

The cut perfectly accentuated her stunning curves.

"It's slightly loose around the waist. I'll go grab my pins so we can take it in. Give me just a moment," the designer said cheerfully.
