She hung up the phone and immediately looked at Janetta Ramirez.
Janetta's expression remained completely stony.
Not daring to hide anything, Janetta's Assistant spoke calmly, "Ms. Ramirez, they just called. The preliminary DNA test results show no match to Helena Wallace."
Janetta's face instantly dropped. "What did you say?"
"The remains we took from the cemetery were tested, and The DNA Evidence doesn't belong to Helena," the assistant repeated clearly. "But the facility said it will take three to four days for absolute confirmation. This was just a preliminary screening, so there could be errors or contamination."
The assistant delivered the news with extreme caution.
"Let me know the second you get the final results," Janetta ordered coldly.
"I will. Don't worry."
The atmosphere in the car grew suffocating.
Janetta's hands slowly clenched into tight fists.
If the body wasn't Helena's, what did that mean?
It meant the entire event years ago was a massive, earth-shattering lie.
Helena had faked her death and escaped.
Now, everything about this current Helena suddenly made perfect sense.
She was the real Helena, which explained exactly why Julian Campbell had married her.
Had she suddenly reappeared in front of Sebastian Hayes and herself after all these years just to seek revenge?
This meant Helena knew the accident back then wasn't really an accident.
A chill ran down Janetta's spine at the thought.
If this woman truly was Helena, she couldn't be allowed to live.
A dark wave of paranoia consumed Janetta as she tightened her grip.
She was waiting for the final answer.
...
Outside the airport.
Sebastian Hayes was already in the car with Kyle Hayes.
His bodyguards successfully blocked the paparazzi from following them. The driver deliberately took a detour through downtown before pulling into an underground parking garage of a commercial high-rise.
Sebastian switched to a different car before heading toward the restaurant.
Sebastian used to see her painting, but he never paid it much attention.
Several instructors who taught her had mentioned she possessed incredible artistic talent.
To Sebastian, it had merely seemed like a frivolous hobby.
Yet now, Kyle shared that same passion.
"Alright," Sebastian replied.
Kyle looked pleasantly surprised.
In the past, his father had always been indifferent to these kinds of things.
The only attention Sebastian usually gave him was focused strictly on his academics.
He rarely cared about much else.
Kyle felt this shift was entirely because of Helena and Skye Campbell.
A little sense of pride swelled within the boy.
He bobbed his head as he animatedly explained his artwork to his father.
