Hope’s POV.

Aiden was truly climbing higher and higher on my annoying list. His stupid question lingered in my head long after the shoot wrapped.
What did I feel about Levi?
I honestly didn’t know the answer to that question. It was too soon to tell. And even if it wasn’t, the thought/of dating Levi was intimidating enough to make my stomach twist into knots.
More than that, contrary to what everyone kept insinuating-
Levi wouldn’t like me like that.
The night sky had already darkened completely, leaving only strings of lights hanging around the set and the occasional glow from nearby buildings. The crew had gathered outside with drinks, loud music, and a whole lot of alcohol.
They kept saying the same thing. This shoot was going to be huge.
I couldn’t blame them. Levi was at the peak of his career.
Speaking of him… He wasn’t here celebrating.
We were staying overnight before heading back to Manhattan tomorrow morning; and somehow, without realizing it, I found myself scanning the crowd.
We still hadn’t done his shoulder exercises.
“He went back to his room early.”
I nearly jumped out of my skin.
My hand flew to my chest as I whipped around.
“Aiden!” I hissed. “Did your mother eat mushrooms when she was pregnant? How do you just pop up everywhere?”
He grinned shamelessly. “Well, me appearing is helping you, isn’t it?” He lifted his drink. “He disappeared as soon as the shoot ended. I think he’s not feeling too great.”
My posture straightened. Concern pushed every other thought aside.
“Maybe it’s his shoulder,” I muttered while standing. “I’ll go check.”
“Oh, you do exactly that,” he said with a smirk.
Then, he pointed behind him. Beth was currently singing into a bottle while two makeup artists swayed beside her.
“Beth’s already gone, and I’m definitely going to drink more.”
I shook my head. “Don’t complain tomorrow for being hungover!” I exclaimed before leaving.
The accommodation wasn’t far, and the further I walked away from the noise, the quieter everything became.
When I finally reached Levi’s room, I stood outside for several seconds.
Maybe I shouldn’t disturb him. However, the thought that he was hiding his shoulder pain made me knock three times

before I could comprehend my actions.
There was no response, but fortunately, the door was unlocked.
“Levi?”
I slowly pushed it open. The room was dark except for moonlight spilling through the curtains.
“Are you alright?”
A soft groan answered me.
Immediately, worry settled inside my chest.
I walked over quickly. He had wrapped himself completely in blankets.
“If you’re hiding your shoulder pain again-”
I stopped. The moment I pulled the blanket down slightly, heat hit my skin. My eyebrows pulled together.
“Levi?”
I pressed my hand against his forehead, my eyes widening.
He was burning!
“Levi,” I said more firmly, shaking him slightly.
He barely reacted. His eyes stayed closed-completely out of it.
I pulled the blanket away entirely despite his weak protests. He immediately tried grabbing it back.
“Wait,” he groaned.
I pressed my palm against his forehead again.
“You’re really hot.”
“I know.”

I shook my head at his confidence, gently smacking his abdomen.
“Not like that,” I muttered, causing his face to scrunch.
“How did you even get sick like this?” I scolded quietly. “It’s because you never sleep properly.”
He let out a miserable sound.
“Who’s nagging?”
His hands covered his ears.
“Is it you, Hope?”
I stared.
He looked so unlike himself. His usual sharpness was gone. His eyes remained closed. His movements were slow. He looked… cute.

Chapter 50
“It was hot,” he mumbled.
I softened slightly.
“What?”
“It was too hot.”
His voice became quieter.
“I don’t like feeling hot.”
My chest squeezed.
“I know.”
Which was exactly why seeing him like this felt wrong.
“Which means,” I sighed, “we need to cool you down.”
I went into the bathroom, grabbed a towel, and ran lukewarm water over it.

When I returned, Levi still hadn’t moved. I sat down and started with his face, carefully wiping his forehead, his cheeks, and the sides of his neck. He let out a quiet breath. I glanced outside.
The crew was absolutely useless now. Everyone looked drunk even from where I was observing him. They definitely wouldn’t be able to buy medicine for him then.
I continued wiping Levi down his neck and across his arms. However, I paused for a while, my eyes lowering instinctively. Levi was wearing nothing except boxers and a white tank top.
At that moment-maybe it was the moonlight or exhaustion, but what I was doing suddenly felt illegal.
The tank top clung slightly to him. His shoulders looked broader somehow.
I swallowed, and continued with the task at hand.
I grabbed the hem of his tank top, but the moment I tried to lift it up, his hand wrapped around my wrist.
I froze when his eyes opened slightly.
“What are you doing?” His voice came out rough.
My heartbeat did something strange. “I told you,” I said quickly. “You have a fever. I need to wipe you down.”
He stared for a few seconds, or maybe he wasn’t actually staring. He honestly looked too sick to focus. Eventually, his grip loosened.
I released a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. With that, I lifted his shirt, but that proved to be a real challenge. His abdomen flexed slightly. The line of muscle moved under warm skin.
With that, I looked away before corrupted thoughts entered my mind. I started wiping him down quickly. Because if I took longer, then I would spontaneously combust.
Just then, I heard a quiet groan escape from him, so I had no choice but to look back immediately.
“Levi?”
His brows were pinched.
“What’s wrong?”
He didn’t answer. Instead, my eyes drifted downward, and it answered the unanswered question in my mind.
There was a very obvious tent straining against the fabric of his boxers.
