Hope’s POV

I admired the marks that I had left on Levi’s skin. Honestly, I was way too happy, and fine, horny, yesterday, that I probably bit Levi far too many times.

I always thought he was insatiable, but I guess I wasn’t any better. Last night, he was the one who got tired and had to tap

out.

But even then, he still cleaned me up and everything. He had been so attentive afterward that I felt guilty for how much 1 had exhausted him. Even when he was clearly tired, he had still made sure I was comfortable before finally letting himself

rest.

I took in everything about him, admiring how perfect he looked even when he was sleeping. Bringing my finger to his lips. 1 traced them before softly poking the moles that peppered his skin.

“Are you even human?” I muttered to myself.

“Done admiring?”

I retracted my finger and smiled at him as he opened his eyes. He booped my nose, and I couldn’t help but giggle.

“Gosh, babe. You tired me out last night,” he said, running his fingers through his hair.

“Sorry. I’ll make you breakfast to make up for it,” I sheepishly said, about to stand when he shook his head.

“I saw some ingredients in the fridge yesterday. Rest for a while. I’ll do everything.”

He clicked his tongue and suddenly stood. My eyes widened when he carried me in his arms princess-style.

“Wait, Levi. Put me down! You said you were tired.”

He smirked and tightened his hold on me. “That wasn’t a complaint, Hope. I liked it.”

“Oh, I muttered, my cheeks heating up.

“Even then, I would be crazy to have you cook breakfast for me, especially on our first day here.”

He carried me with just one arm as I held onto his shoulders, using his left hand to open the sliding door. My gaze immediately went to the ensemble on the porch, my eyes slightly widening.

There was already food on the table, appearing to be piping hot, like this was some scripted show and he knew exactly when I would wake up. The smell made my stomach rumble, and I couldn’t help but stare at the spread in front of us.

“What’s this?”

“Breakfast,” he answered, placing me down on the chair before taking the seat in front of me, still shirtless and showing off the marks I had left on his skin.

I instinctively looked around the beach because I could not have any other person seeing him like that. Call me possessive, but my man was really, really sexy, and I wanted the view for myself.

However, it was strange that there were no people from where we were all the way to the far shore despite the nice weather.

“Is it still too early?” I muttered to myself.

“Hmm?” he asked, biting into a croissant.

“There’s no one else here. I’m wondering if it’s still too early. Although, the sun’s already high up in the sky.”

When he didn’t say anything back. I began piecing the pieces of the puzzle together.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

“You didn’t rent the entire beach, did you?”

When he didn’t say anything again, the answer was already confirmed.

“Levi!” I exclaimed.

He smiled sheepishly. “I didn’t want any interactions. You already know, babe. Some people tried to stop/us at the airport. too. I don’t want anyone interrupting our time together.”

I sighed and massaged the bridge of my nose. “How much did this even cost?” I muttered, looking far out at the beach because this beach was wide!

“Don’t think about the price. I’ve invested a lot over the past few years, and I haven’t spent much of it on anything. If we’re talking about money, then I have more than enough.”

He paused before looking at me.

“My time with you is priceless,” he continued.

I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling too widely. “Don’t do this anymore, okay? You need to save money.”

“I can just earn more.” he innocently said, making me shake my head.

In the end, he chuckled and reached out, tucking my hair behind my ears.

“Okay, okay. I’ll listen to what you say. For now, let’s just enjoy everything, hmm?”

I let out a deep breath and nodded. “Yeah, thank you for this, Levi. It really does feel like a dream come true.”

He smiled and pushed my food closer to me. “Eat, babe. You need a lot of energy.”

“Hmm?” I hummed, tilting my head to the side as I finally took a bite of the food.

I started with the baked potatoes, and I nearly moaned at the taste.

Gosh, the food even tasted like a dream!

Then, I internalized what he had just said.

Needed a lot of energy?

I slowly looked at him with suspicion. “Why would I need energy?”

He couldn’t be talking about having sex, right? He had just complained about being tired!

“Get your mind out of the gutter, Hope. Let’s go and have a swim.”

“Oh.” I said, feeling flustered. “Well, you can’t blame me! You were talking in a suspicious tone.”

“I can’t win with you, can I?” he asked, a smile still on his lips.

“Eat lots, babe. Let’s swim. We have the beach all to ourselves.”
