Chapter 495
Late at night, the Lynch estate was silent.
A car door slammed shut, and Dominic strode toward the main house with Lily in his arms.
The living room lights were still on, but the staff had already gone to bed.
The butler heard the noise and came out while putting on his glasses. At one glance, he saw Lily in Dominic’s
arms.
Before he could get a good look at her, Dominic shot him a cold glare.
“Do you want to keep your eyes?”
The butler froze with one hand still on his glasses.
Dominic ignored him after that and carried Lily upstairs.
A moment later, the sound of a door being kicked open, then kicked shut, came from upstairs.
The butler sighed helplessly and shook his head.
What a mess.
The night deepened.
In the dark room, Lily’s broken sobs came and went. Gradually, those sounds faded into the night, while Dominic lost himself in them.
By the time dawn began to pale the sky, Lily had passed out from exhaustion, Dominic tightened his arms around her, lowered his head, and kissed her sweat-damp forehead before finally getting out of bed and going into the bathroom.
When he left the room, he looked refreshed, without the slightest sign that he had been up all night.
Once he got into the car, he started handling work. He told his assistant to keep a close eye on several partnerships, and by the time they arrived at the hospital, most of his work had been dealt with.
Before getting out of the car, he said to his assistant, “Put Lily’s apartment up for sale.”
He had lied to Lily.
He hadn’t changed the locks on that apartment. But keeping it around was only an eyesore.
He pushed open the car door and continued, “Freeze the card that receives her dividends from Lynch Corporation. Leave only her salary account. With less money, she’ll have fewer ways to make trouble.
“And that man. Send a few people to teach him a lesson.”
“Yes, sir.”
After entering the hospital, Dominic went straight to Chris’s room.
The moment Chris saw him, he could tell from the smug look on Dominic’s face what had happened. Chris didn’t bother asking. He just told him to get lost.
“Don’t be jealous.”

Dominic, reckless as ever, sat down on the sofa across from the hospital bed.
knew what day it was, but he didn’t want to make the mood too heavy. So he kept up his usual annoying act.
“I’m not showing off on purpose. This is just how I usually am.”
Chris buttoned his shirt.
He was going with Winter to see Richie. After today, they would have to wait three days before seeing him again.. Instead of wearing his hospital gown, Chris had changed into the white shirt Richie liked seeing him wear most.
Even though he would still have to put on protective gear before he could go near Richie.
“Aren’t your parents coming back soon?”
Chris turned his head and glanced at Dominic.
“You can’t keep this hidden forever. The only reason they haven’t found out all these years is because Lily has been hiding it well. She has endured this long because she still cares about her family. If you push her too far, have you thought about what will happen when your parents find out?”
Dominic’s parents had long since lost control over him. Chris was not asking because he was worried about Dominic’s situation.
He was asking because Dominic was still, in his own way, a devoted son. He had to consider how his parents would feel.
But Dominic answered openly, “So let them find out. I wasn’t planning to keep hiding it anyway.”
Chris’s fingers paused on his buttons.
