Game Over, Mr. CEO: Your Wife Is Done (Winter and Chris) novel Chapter 131

Roy stood across from Winter with his hands clasped behind his back. Dressed in black from head to toe, he looked tall and broad–shouldered.

He tipped his chin at her, and Winter immediately got the message. He wanted her to make the first move so he could see what she could do.

Three seconds later, Zion couldn’t bear to watch anymore and turned away.

Winter lunged and missed completely. Just as she was about to crash to the floor, Roy caught her by the arm and pulled her back up.

Her face flushed red with embarrassment, making her bright eyes look even more striking. “Again!”

Roy still had both hands behind his back. It was beyond humiliating.

Winter’s competitive streak flared up instantly. She shouted to hype herself up, clenched her fists, and charged at him.

Roy simply lifted one finger and pressed it against her forehead.

Winter stared at him. Was she really this bad?

After three tries, Roy hooked a foot out and tripped her. Before she could go down, he caught her by the back of her shirt and steadied her, then typed a single word on his phone.

Zion couldn’t bear to watch anymore and had already shut the door and left.

He couldn’t speak for anyone else, but he trusted Roy completely.

Still, this was the first time even he had learned Roy’s real name. Back when Roy was working as a mercenary, his codename had been G. For all these years, Zion had only ever called him G.

Winter really was the kind of person everyone liked. She had actually gotten Roy to tell her his real name.

Two hours later, soaked in sweat, Winter rolled over and dropped flat onto the floor, sprawled out like a

Winter shook her head. “I have work tomorrow night.”

Roy looked at her for a moment, then slipped his phone back into his pocket, turned around, grabbed his jacket from the couch, and walked out without another word.

Winter watched his tall, straight back as he left. Roy really did have a personality. He left without even saying goodbye.

Late that night, a black Bentley pulled into Blackwood Manor.

Chris got out of the car. In the freezing night air, his breath fogged white. The car door shut behind him, and he left his cane by the seat.

Then his phone suddenly rang.

The caller ID showed Skyla Jasper.

Chris frowned slightly and answered. A panicked voice came from the other end. It was the caregiver.

“Mr. Xander, something’s wrong. Ms. Jasper fainted!”
