Hearing about the catastrophic pileup known as The Crossroads Massacre, Lillian immediately ordered Marcus to secure the survivors.
Meanwhile, Bella was sprinting down the highway toward Debbie's wreckage, flanked by her remaining crew.
Lucas was still kneeling in the blood, desperately trying to pry the password from Debbie's dying lips.
But Debbie was defiant to the bitter end. She had resolved to take those numbers to her grave.
"You stubborn old hag!" Lucas screamed, losing his mind.
Bella skidded to a halt beside them. "What is taking so long? Grab her and let's go!"
"She's bleeding out!" Lucas panicked. "She just coughed up a lung! If I move her, she might—"
"I don't care if she dies!" Bella shrieked. "She dies on our terms! Grab her!"
Suddenly, Bella noticed a large group of men sprinting down the highway toward them.
"How many men did the casino send?" Bella demanded, her voice cracking. "Why are there twenty guys running at us? There weren't that many cars!"
"The casino and the broker only had three cars!" Lucas stammered. "This..."
"It has to be the Blake family's security team," Bella realized, her blood running cold. "Hurry! Throw her in the trunk! If we're caught here, my life is over!"
Bella knew exactly what Sebastian would do to her if he caught her orchestrating this bloodbath.
"I... I can't feel my legs..." Lucas whimpered.
He was in deep shock. He had narrowly escaped death. If he had been sitting on the right side of the car, he'd be headless right now. If he hadn't stepped out when he did, he would have been crushed by the tail car. His adrenaline had crashed, leaving his muscles completely useless.
