"The deadline for my loan sharks is up," Bella hissed, her voice vibrating with venom. "Sebastian is divorcing me and he refuses to give me a single cent. And those underground debts? I took them on because you swindled my money to fund your gambling addiction. Don't tell me you forgot."
Debbie hadn't forgotten, but remembering didn't magically conjure up the cash. From the very moment she had conned Bella, she never had any intention of paying her back.
How could she? She was broke. And there was a higher chance of hell freezing over than Sebastian paying off her casino debts. He would rather watch her die in a ditch. It was a pipe dream.
Debbie stared at Bella. This was an ultimatum, but to a hardened degenerate like her, it was child's play. She had gambled her entire life away. The only bet she had ever won was giving birth to a billionaire son. Being threatened by loan sharks and violent thugs was just a regular Tuesday for her.
So, Debbie simply locked eyes with Bella, extending her hand with an arrogant smirk. "You want fingers, right? Pick one. I'll chop it off for you right now. How's that?"
Bella stared at her in sheer disbelief. What the hell was wrong with this bitch?
She was offering up her own fingers without a flinch? Waving her hand around like it was a joke?
Did she think Bella didn't have the guts to do it?
"I have never met someone as sickening as you, Debbie," Bella spat. "No wonder Old Mr. Blake loathed the sight of you. You're a disease. Anyone who touches you rots. But guess what? I'm not playing games. You want to offer up a finger? Fine. You think I'm scared?"
Bella scoffed. "So what? If this filthy slut dies, she dies. The world will be a better place. Besides, she's the one who bragged about not being afraid. If she chops off her own finger, what does it have to do with us?"
Bella turned her chilling gaze back to Debbie. "I only want the money you stole from me. If you manage to extort extra cash out of Sebastian, you can keep the surplus. How about that?"
Maybe Debbie was just calling her bluff. But Bella didn't give a damn about Debbie's life. To Bella, the woman was nothing more than an insect. A dead degenerate was just one less piece of garbage stinking up the earth.
By offering Debbie a cut of the extortion money, Bella was tossing out bait. A degenerate gambler like Debbie was probably already daydreaming about taking that surplus cash straight back to the casino tables to win back her $1 billion debt.
