Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 1111

"They're just passing through? We'll have dinner together and then they'll leave?" Lillian asked.

"Is the schedule really that tight? Are you and your parents always separated like this?"

Leonard nodded slightly. "They've always been extremely busy managing operations around the world. And I've always been busy—undergoing treatments, recovering, and then doing it all over again. This is just how we carve out little slivers of time to see each other. It's been this way since I was a child. I'm used to it."

As he spoke, his gaze fixed intently on Lillian, burning with an unmistakable warmth. He softly added, "However, I am definitely not used to being separated from you."

Lillian gave a soft, amused smile. "Why would we be separated? Haven't we been together this entire time?"

Leonard's eyes lit up with satisfaction as he nodded. "Yes. And we'll be together forever."

"Of course we will," Lillian said gently. "Alright, if I don't leave now, I'm going to miss their flight. I'll head out. Make sure you keep an eye on the kitchen and have everything ready for the family dinner."

Lillian stepped out and drove straight to the airport.

Leonard had already texted her the flight details.

Usually, Leonard wouldn't ask her to handle something like this, and she wasn't entirely sure why he specifically requested her to be the one to greet them today.

Arriving at the terminal, Lillian found that the Prescotts' flight hadn't landed yet, so she stood off to the side to wait.

Not long after, as she was scanning the arrivals board, she felt a gentle tap on her arm. Turning around, Lillian was met with the sight of an elegantly dressed, aristocratic older woman.

Though her hair was silver, her features were impeccably refined and striking.

Lillian blinked in surprise before the woman offered a warm, affectionate smile. "You're Lillian, aren't you? Rosemary's little granddaughter?"

"Beatrice, it has been far too long. How have you been all these years?"

Beatrice nodded, her eyes shining with emotion. "Good, everything is very good. But... your grandmother..."

Her voice cracked, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Lillian felt a heavy lump form in her throat. "You heard about what happened to her?"

"I did. When I couldn't reach her, I had my people look into it," Beatrice said softly, reaching out to gently tuck a stray lock of hair behind Lillian's ear. "You are such a good girl. All these years, I refused to believe the rumors that it was you. I know you would have traded your own life to protect your grandmother. There is no way you would ever hurt her, not even by accident. Your father, your brothers, and your ex-husband... they are utterly blind."

Before Beatrice could finish, an excited voice called out from the crowd.

"Lillian? Is that you?"
