Evelyn looked up, her eyes rimmed with red. "Because she stole my man."
Audrey's expression shifted drastically. "Your man? You mean Mr. Hayes? Or your ex-husband?"
Evelyn shook her head. "I was supposed to marry Julian a long time ago. She was the one who interfered and ruined our relationship. That's why I angrily went abroad and married someone else. Otherwise, we would have been together all this time."

Audrey's eyes turned vicious. "What skills? She got to where she is using dirty tricks and sleeping her way up. It's disgusting."
She grabbed Evelyn's hand. "You don't have to do a thing. Just invite her to the new bathhouse. We'll all go together, and I'll handle the rest."
Evelyn acted as if she were being pushed into a corner, hesitating for a long time before finally giving a slow nod. "Well... alright then."
Audrey smiled in satisfaction, patted her hand, and turned to leave.
Left alone in the hallway, Evelyn watched Audrey walk away. Her lips slowly curved up, a flash of pure malice glinting in her eyes.
