Chapter 93 Give Him an Answer
Chapter 93 Give Him an Answer
Natasha was tense and uneasy, her nerves on edge.
But when he kissed her like that, she couldn’t help but feel a spark ignite inside her.
It had been ages since she’d had a man in her life.
If this kept up, she knew she’d end up losing herself.
“Jared, that’s enough. Stop kissing me…” Natasha pleaded, her voice trembling.
She didn’t want her nervous disorder to flare up again from his kisses.
A tempting flush appeared on Natasha’s face
Jared’s breath hitched at the sight.
A rush of fire surged through him.
“Then let’s just do it,” Jared said, his voice husky with desire.
As he spoke, his hands moved to tug at her loungewear, intent on stripping it away.
Since Natasha hadn’t grabbed any clean clothes earlier, she’d asked him to get them for her.
Jared didn’t bring her any underwear.
Now, with a few buttons of her loungewear undone, the tempting sight beneath was revealed.
Jared gulped, unable to stop himself.
His body throbbed with need.
His kisses trailed from her flushed lips down to her neck, then ventured to the parted neckline of her shirt…
His restless hand wandered beneath her top, boldly exploring without restraint.
“Stop it. Let go!” Natasha blurted out, flustered and annoyed.
“Jared, I haven’t said yes to you yet!” she protested, her face flushed with frustration.
Jared let go of her all of a sudden.
He lowered his gaze to her thick, sweeping lashes, his voice rough and hoarse. “Are you going to agree or not?”
Natasha forced herself to keep her composure.
She couldn’t meet his eyes, her voice barely audible. “Will you let me… think about it?”
Natasha thought, ‘My only option is to stall him for now, whatever it takes.
‘If I reject him outright, it will only make him angry.
‘If he really tries to push things, I won’t stand a chance against him.’
Jared’s eyes were dark and intense as he stared at her. “How long?”
Natasha lowered her lashes, shielding the flicker of emotion in her eyes.
She mumbled, “Ten days. Maybe half a month…”
Jared’s brows knitted together. “No, that’s too long.”
Natasha’s lips twitched.
‘Seriously? He thinks ten days is too long?’ Natasha grumbled inwardly.
She’d actually wanted to say she needed a few months, maybe even half a year.
She had to get divorced first, obviously.
“Then you tell me, how long?” she asked, exasperated.
Jared locked eyes with her. “Start thinking now. I expect your answer tonight.”
‘Come on, it hasn’t even been any time at all. It hasn’t even been half a day; Natasha grumbled inwardly. Natasha shook her head, protesting, “That’s way too short. I can’t possibly think this through calmly.” Jared reached out, gently lifting her chin, his gaze locking onto her hazel eyes.
“Don’t even think you can use this to buy yourself more time,” Jared warned, his voice dangerously low. He wasn’t the kind of guy who fell for just any woman.

All these years, he’d kept himself in check, never tempted by any woman until Natasha came along. She was the only one who ever got under his skin.
There was no way he’d let her slip away without a fight.
“I’m not!” Natasha instinctively protested, her voice tense. “If you want me to think about us seriously, stop pressuring me and give me some time.”
Jared stared at her for a moment.
“Three days,” he said, his voice firm.
He had to set a deadline, force her to face the truth.
Otherwise, this could turn into an endless tug-of-war, dragging on with no end in sight.
“Three days is the absolute limit I can tolerate,” Jared declared, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Natasha bit her lip.
She thought, ‘Three days should be enough for me to go through the divorce with Percy.
‘Since Percy keeps pushing me to get divorced, and the one he loved is Joelle, there is no point in sticking around for him. ‘Once the divorce is settled, having Jared in my bed to satisfy my needs isn’t a bad deal at all.
‘That way, I won’t have to deal with the crazy nervous disorder anymore.’
“Alright, three days it is!” Natasha finally nodded. “But before anything else, could you help me find my mother first?” Jared was taken aback. “What happened to your mother?”
Natasha’s expression turned grave. “She’s been missing for several days now. Joelle was the last person who saw her.” Jared’s gaze grew more intense. “So the last time you went to see Joelle in the private room, it was to ask about your mother’s whereabouts?”
Natasha nodded. “Yes.”
Jared’s eyes were shadowed and intense as he suddenly grabbed her hand. “I can help you, but you have to help me first.” Natasha blinked, not quite following. “Help you with what?”
Jared’s gaze burned with desire. “Take care of me first.”
Natasha was silent.
An hour later, she rushed into the bathroom.
She pumped way too much hand soap into her palm and scrubbed her hands hard, almost desperately, until bubbles foamed everywhere.
She did this five or six times in a row.
Yet Natasha still felt off as if something was stuck under her skin. No matter how much she washed, she couldn’t get rid of that lingering awkwardness.
That afternoon, Jared took her back to the same club they’d been to before.
“Where’s my mom?” Natasha asked anxiously.
“She should still be here,” Jared replied.
Natasha was stunned. “She’s still here? How could that be?”
“Ever heard the saying, ‘The most dangerous place is actually the safest’?” Jared said, his eyes narrowing.
“I had Algernon pull up the security footage. There’s not a single record of your mom leaving on her birthday,” he added. Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.
It had been three days since her mother went missing.
‘Has my mom been here this whole time?’ Natasha thought, anxiety twisting in her gut.
“Jared, I just found out Joelle has a permanent private room here at the club,” Algernon said, walking over to them.
Natasha glanced at Algernon.
He looked familiar, but she couldn’t quite remember who he was.
“This is Algernon Frost. We go way back. He owns this club,” Jared said, actually taking the initiative to introduce Algernon for once.

Natasha hurried to extend her hand politely. “Mr. Frost, thanks for your help.
“No problem at all, really.” Algernon flashed her a bright smile and reached out to shake her hand
But Jared gave him a look that said, “Back off.”
“Don’t shake his hand,” Jared said, taking Natasha’s hand and locking it firmly in his own.
He was staking his claim.
Algernon watched Jared’s move and gave a grudging shrug.
!
‘Never thought I’d see him act so possessive. Guess Jared is serious about Ms. Whittier, Algernon thought, a bit surprised
“Follow me. I’ll show you the private room Joelle always uses,” Algernon said, leading the way.
The private room was in a secluded spot, almost impossible to find.
Turns out, it was hidden away in the basement.
As soon as they went down, Natasha noticed her phone signal was blocked.
She remembered that every time she tried calling her mom before, the phone always showed as out of coverage.
‘Is my mom really here?’ Natasha thought, her heart racing with a mix of hope and nerves.
Natasha quickly walked over and opened the door.
But the door was locked tight. No matter how hard she tried, it wouldn’t budge.
“Each private room here has its own password. If you don’t know it, there’s no way you can get in,” Algernon said, walking
over to her.
“Then what do we do?” Natasha asked, her voice tight with worry.
Her heart sank.
‘Do I have to go and ask Joelle for the password?’ Natasha thought.
“Don’t worry, I’m the boss. I’ve got a master password,” Algernon said with a confident smile.
He walked over and entered the code.
The door to the private room swung open.
Natasha rushed inside without hesitation.
When she saw what was in front of her, her heart nearly leaped out of her throat.
Her mother, Sandra, was bound hand and foot, lying helpless on the floor.
A filthy rag was stuffed in her mouth.
Her hair was a tangled mess, her eyes filled with terror, and her forehead was marked with injuries.
“Mom!” Natasha cried out, her voice breaking.
She rushed over to her mother.
Tears burst from her eyes, spilling down her cheeks in an instant.
‘I was too late. My mom suffered, Natasha thought, guilt and regret twisting inside her.
Natasha hurried to pull the filthy rag from her mother’s mouth.
She caught Sandra just in time, supporting her as she nearly collapsed.
“Mom, what happened? Why are you tied up here? Was this Joelle’s doing?” Natasha blurted out. Natasha kept pressing her mother for answers, her eyes brimming with concern and heartache.
Sandra had suffered for days, and given her age, she was barely alive, hanging by a thread.
When Natasha brought up Joelle’s name, Sandra shook her head desperately. “No, Joelle had nothing to do with it. Please, it’s all my fault…”
