“Had enough of staring?” Jared’s deep voice suddenly cut through the silence.

Natasha snapped back to reality, her cheeks flushing bright red.

She felt like she’d just been caught doing something she shouldn’t.

“Mr. Rundell, I…” she stammered, trying to explain herself.

She was so flustered that she couldn’t even get her words out.

“So you like spying on guys while they shower? Is your husband not enough for you?” Jared teased, his eyes narrowing as he spoke.

Natasha’s heart fluttered nervously.

She dropped her gaze, too embarrassed to meet his eyes again.

In fact, Jared had totally nailed it.

Percy really hadn’t satisfied her at all.

It wasn’t just that he didn’t satisfy her.

He never even tried to be intimate with her.

Ever since their wedding, he’d stayed devoted to Joelle, refusing to lay a finger on Natasha.

And the more Natasha couldn’t have him, the more she wanted him.

She’d even started to develop a bit of an obsession.

Natasha figured it was best to make a quick exit before things got even more awkward.

She didn’t want to risk her obsession flaring up again if she kept staring.

But before she could even move, Jared swung open the shower door.

He walked straight toward her, completely naked.

Natasha could feel his dominant energy pressing in on her, and she instinctively looked up.

And her eyes landed right on his bottom.

Her face instantly turned bright red and hot.

She was so embarrassed she nearly had a nosebleed.

“Don’t come any closer!” Natasha squeaked, her voice shaking.

Natasha panicked, slapped her hands over her eyes, and spun around.

“I didn’t mean to walk in by accident! Mr. Mulder told me to bring you some documents and dinner!” she blurted out.

Jared was already right in front of her, looming over her and sizing her up.

His eyes narrowed, full of suspicion. “Come on, that’s a pretty lame excuse.

“You could’ve just dropped the documents and dinner downstairs, so why sneak all the way up here just to catch me in the shower?”

Natasha felt a wave of frustration wash over her.

‘If I’d known, I would’ve just dropped the stuff downstairs and bailed, she thought.

She’d wanted to hand everything to Jared. That was why she made the trip up here.

She did not know she’d walk right in on him taking a shower.

“I didn’t. I swear…” Natasha stammered, her face burning with embarrassment.

She was dying of embarrassment and couldn’t help but take a step back.

“If I wanted to look, I’d just do it right in front of you. Why bother sneaking around?” she muttered.

Natasha grumbled quietly to herself.

Jared loomed over her, his presence almost suffocating. “What did you just say?”

He looked like trouble was brewing, as if a storm was about to hit.

The tension in the air was so thick, Natasha could barely breathe.

Jared pressed his lips together tightly.

His gaze was dark and unfathomable.

His tall, commanding presence drew even closer.

He didn’t seem convinced by her explanation at all.

Natasha felt a wave of panic wash over her.

She licked her lips, then, throwing caution to the wind, tried to reassure him. “Honestly, I didn’t see a thing. It’s not like there’

s anything worth seeing, right? All guys look pretty much the same.”

Jared’s face darkened even more, his handsome features clouded with irritation.

He shot her a glare that could kill.

“So, you’ve checked out plenty of guys before, huh?” he retorted, sarcasm heavy in his voice.

Natasha frantically tried to defend herself, still retreating step by step. “It’s not like I’ve seen a ton, honestly, I just…”

Right behind her was a ridiculously fancy, massive jacuzzi tub.

Before she could finish her sentence, her foot slipped, and she went headfirst, plunging right into the tub.

Natasha coughed and sputtered, water splashing everywhere.

She was drenched from head to toe, coughing as she tried to catch her breath.

It took her a moment to scramble out of the tub, dripping and looking absolutely pathetic.

Her dress was so thin that now, drenched and clinging to her skin, her figure was on full display, her curves impossible to

hide.

Jared’s eyes grew darker, desire flickering deep within.

A rush of heat surged through him, and for a moment, he was dangerously close to losing control.

Right now, standing before him was a beautiful woman fresh out of the water, sexy, soaked, and utterly irresistible.

Her curves were on full display, and her face was both seductive and refined.

In the steamy bathroom, she exuded a sultry allure that was impossible to ignore.

He felt his whole body burning up.

Feeling Jared’s heated stare, Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.

“Mr. Rundell, I’ll just get going…” she stammered, her voice shaky.

She hurried to climb out of the tub as soon as she finished speaking.

But Jared moved faster than her.

He pulled her close, his husky voice murmuring right by her ear, “Trying to run now? Isn’t it a bit too late for that?”

Natasha was overwhelmed by a panic unlike anything she’d ever felt.

“Let go of me!” Natasha shouted, her voice trembling.

She fought with all her strength, trying to shove him off.

But Jared’s arms locked around her waist, pressing her firmly against the side of the tub.

“Don’t you know the more you fight back in a man’s arms, the more it just makes him want you?” Jared murmured, his voice low and dangerous.

His gaze was so intense, it felt like he could burn right through her.

His hot breath fanned across her face, sending shivers down her spine.

Natasha could already see the danger coming her way.

“Don’t try anything…” she warned, her voice shaky.

She watched him warily, nerves on edge as she reminded him to keep his distance.

“You think this is too much?” Jared teased, a half-smirk tugging at his lips.

Jared’s lips curled into a playful smirk as he reached out toward her. “How about this then?” Natasha shuddered, her body jerking in surprise.

His hand suddenly made a bold move.

‘What a perv!’ she thought, her mind reeling.

For a split second, her brain just short-circuited.

Without a second thought, she raised her hand and slapped Jared hard across the face.

The slap landed with a sharp, crisp sound.

Jared was left utterly speechless, stunned by the blow.

Natasha stared at her tingling palm, unable to believe what she’d just done.

She thought, ‘Wait, did I really just slap my boss?

‘Oh my god, I’m toast!’

Panic and frustration surged in Natasha’s eyes.

“You really dared to slap me?” Jared’s eyes flashed dangerously, his stare turning deadly.

He looked just like a hungry wolf, ready to pounce on his prey.

There was a possessive fire in his gaze that Natasha couldn’t make sense of.

Chills ran down her spine, a cold dread gripping her heart.

‘Why is he looking at me with such a wild, possessive gaze?’ Natasha thought, her mind spinning.

It wasn’t just anger in his eyes.

It was something far more dangerous, like he was about to ravish her right then and there.

“I didn’t mean to. I need to get going,” Natasha stammered, her voice trembling.

She hurriedly climbed out of the tub, panic written all over her face, and rushed out, her heart pounding.

When Natasha finally escaped Jared’s villa, she was still dripping wet.

But she couldn’t care less about that right now.

It felt like some raging beast was right behind her, ready to pounce.

She jumped into her car and sped off, desperate to get away.

As soon as Natasha got home, the first thing she did was take a hot shower.

But even after that, she still sneezed a few times.

She felt that she must have caught a chill running out of Jared’s villa soaking wet.

But right now, Natasha couldn’t bother worrying about anything else.

All she could think about was one thing.

She’d just slapped Jared.

This was bad.

She’d probably be out of a job by tomorrow.

She thought, ‘But seriously, it wasn’t my fault. He was the one who went for my chest first!

‘This was pure self-defense, nothing more.’

Just as she was freaking out, her phone suddenly started ringing.

Natasha wondered, ‘Who the heck would call me at this hour?’

But when she answered, her jaw dropped. It was actually the cops on the line.

Percy had hit her brother-in-law, Nicolas Milford.

When Natasha got a call from the cops, she could hardly believe her ears.

She thought, ‘Percy actually threw a punch?

‘He has always been the type to just grit his teeth and take it.

‘After all, he is the Grosso family’s illegitimate son, the one they keep out of sight.”

Ever since Percy got brought back to the Grosso family, he got nothing but dirty looks from the rest of them, and high society folks never stopped making fun of him.
