An Affair With The Ceo (Natasha and Jared) novel Chapter 255

Chapter 255 Marry Him?

Chapter 255 Marry Him?

‘Who else but Jared?’ Natasha mused.

The waiter added, “That gentleman also said that from now on, whenever you come to eat, it’ll all be charged to his account.”/

Hearing this, Natasha was almost certain, it had to be Jared.

‘Who else but him would be this extravagant?’ she thought.

Percy seemed to sense something was off.

His expression hardened. “Who is this gentleman?”.

Percy thought, ‘Is he really inviting the woman I love to dinner right in front of me?

‘Does he think I’m dead or something?’

The waiter apologized, “Sorry, the gentleman prefers not to reveal his name.”

Percy immediately turned to her. “Is he the guy who’s after you?”

Natasha shrugged. “Maybe. But that’s not your concern.”

She got up and left.

They were done.

She didn’t have to explain herself to him about other men.

Percy scowled, his brows furrowed deep.

His gaze was icy, like a chill that could freeze the whole room.

Natasha had stepped out of the restaurant when a familiar luxury car pulled up in front of her.

“Ms. Whittier, please get in. Mr. Rundell is waiting for you,” the driver said.

Natasha instinctively glanced at the back seat.

To her surprise, Jared was nowhere to be seen.

She thought, ‘He’s not even here?

‘So he sent the driver to pick me up?’

Natasha hesitated for a moment, but eventually got into the luxury car.

She’d already told Jared she wanted to break things off, so there really shouldn’t be any reason for them to cross paths again.

But tonight, he’d unexpectedly treated her to dinner for no clear reason.

She still needed to confront Jared in person and get some answers.

The luxury car whisked her straight to a sleek skyscraper.

Natasha only realized where she was when she stepped out, it was the Rundell Group.

This was her first time walking into this towering building.

The Rundell Group had always been the top dog, almost like a myth in the business world.

This skyscraper was a landmark in the city’s CBD.

The driver opened her door and ushered her out.

Then he led her into a private elevator.

They rode up until they reached an office on one of the upper floors.

“Mr. Rundell is inside,” the driver said.

He gave her a respectful gesture to go in, then turned and walked away.

Natasha knocked on the door, her movements tentative.

“Come in.”

Jared’s familiar voice came from inside.

Successfully unlocked!

She took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

To her surprise, the office was pitch black.

With only the faint moonlight streaming in from outside, Natasha could make out the opulent décor inside.

*Jared?” Natasha called hesitantly into the darkness.

She thought, ‘Didn’t the driver say he was inside?

‘Then why is it empty?’

Suddenly, a surge of force rushed toward her.

Before Natasha could react, she was pinned against the wall.

“Jared! What are you doing?” Natasha called out.

Feeling Jared’s breath so close, Natasha immediately started to struggle, shouting, “Jared. What are you doing?”

Jared held her tight, refusing to let go.

Instead, he pressed her firmly against the wall, making sure she couldn’t escape.

“So you’ve changed your mind?” Jared’s voice was low.

His deep voice was thick with jealousy.

Natasha froze for a moment, then suddenly realized, he must’ve seen her having dinner with Percy tonight.

That explained why he was so quick to pick up their tab.

He was clearly trying to provoke Percy.

“Jared, we’re done. I don’t have to explain myself to you anymore,” Natasha said, her voice steady.

Jared’s eyes darkened, a storm brewing within. “Break up? I never agreed to that.”

Natasha’s brows furrowed on instinct. “I don’t need your approval. I already made it clear it’s over, whether you like it or not.”

Jared pinned her even harder against the wall, his grip tightening with possessive force.

“Break up with me, but you still end up in my bed?” he growled, his tone laced with jealousy and accusation.

He bit down hard on her earlobe as he spat out the words.

Natasha hissed in pain, sucking in a sharp breath.

Embarrassed and angry, she reminded him, “I told you, that was the last time. I meant it.”

Jared’s eyes narrowed dangerously, his gaze burning with possessive intensity.

“Say that again?” he growled, his voice rough, refusing to accept it.

Natasha met his gaze head-on. “I said, that was the last…”

Before she could finish, Jared crashed his lips down on hers, cutting her off with a fierce, possessive kiss.

Natasha stared in shock, her eyes wide.

She instinctively tried to push him away.

But Jared’s chest was like solid steel, he didn’t move an inch.

No matter how hard she tried, he wouldn’t budge.

Instead, he grabbed her head, deepening the kiss, claiming her even more fiercely.

Furious, Natasha bit down on him.

She could taste blood almost instantly.

But Jared was like a man possessed.

He didn’t let go, instead, his kisses grew even rougher, more intense.

Natasha stopped struggling altogether. She didn’t fight back, didn’t resist, numb and exhausted.

She went limp in his arms, letting him kiss her as if she were nothing more than a lifeless doll.

Jared quickly sensed the change in her, and finally let her go.

“What am I going to do with you?”

There was a raw, defeated edge in his tone.

He wanted more, wanted to get closer to her, to take things further.

But he didn’t have the right, didn’t have the standing to claim her.

And if he really had to step back and let her go, he couldn’t bear the thought.

Harley had run into trouble recently.

Jared was suddenly put in charge, temporarily taking over the Rundell Group’s affairs.

He worked late every night.

But no matter how busy he got, he couldn’t stop thinking about Natasha.

He knew perfectly well what she meant before.

She wanted to set boundaries between them.

She wanted to end things once and for all.

But he couldn’t bear to let her go.

He thought that giving her some space would help her calm down and think things through.

But he never expected to catch her having dinner with Percy tonight.

Jared couldn’t deny it, seeing that scene really stung.

It messed him up more than he’d like to admit.

So he ended up picking up their tab on the spot, to make a point.

He wanted to make sure Natasha couldn’t ignore him.

He even wanted Percy to feel his presence.

He wanted Percy to know he wasn’t some nobody, he was someone to watch out for.

“I told you, we’re done.” Natasha shot back, her voice sharp and unyielding.

She tilted her head back, glaring up at him, refusing to back down.

Jared’s face was stone-cold, his expression hard as steel.

His eyes were dark, swirling with a storm of emotion.

“Are you really going to cut me out of your life? Is your heart really that cold?” he asked, his voice low and aching.

Natasha couldn’t help but snap back, “This isn’t about being heartless. There was never anything serious between us.

“We were friends with benefits. We hooked up when we felt like it, and if we didn’t, we walked away. It was always mutual pleasure, nothing more.”

‘Now I don’t want it anymore. Isn’t that my choice?’ she thought.

“Sex?” Jared’s eyes blazed red with frustration. “So to you, it was nothing but hooking up? No feelings at all?”

Natasha replied instantly, “No!

“I’ve thought it through. I don’t want anything more with you, at least for now. So it’s best we end this before things get complicated.”

Jared’s lips were pressed into a tight, thin line. “You’re not going to? Seriously? You said yourself you’d break things off with him within a month.”

Natasha looked at him, he was obviously fuming, his whole expression clouded with anger.

‘But I really don’t get what exactly he’s so mad about, she thought.

“Why are you so obsessed with whether I’m single or not? What, are you seriously in love with me? Is that why you want me to break up and marry you?” Natasha snapped.

She shoved him away, clearly annoyed.

Jared’s eyes grew red, barely holding back tears.

He thought, ‘Have I not made it obvious enough how much I care about her?

‘Why won’t she leave him for me? Why can’t she come back to me?’

“I…”

He barely got a chance to speak before Natasha cut him off.

“I can’t!” Natasha blurted out, her voice firm and unyielding.

Jared’s eyes darkened, his gaze sharp. “What did you say?”

Natasha stared right back at him. “I said I’m not breaking up, and I’m definitely not marrying you…”
