Chapter 162 Satisfying Each Other’s Physical Needs
Chapter 162 Satisfying Each Other’s Physical Needs
Natasha woke up, and Jared was already gone from the bed. The mix of familiar and unfamiliar surroundings brought everything back to her.
She wasn’t in her own home; she was at Jared’s private villa. Last night, they ended up in bed together again. Natasha pressed her fingers to her forehead, feeling the stress pounding in her head.
She was annoyed at herself for losing control again. ‘Why do I always fall for Jared’s relentless advances?’ she wondered.
She knew he was her boss; this was so wrong, and they shouldn’t be crossing that line. Yet every time, she let him in, and he always got his way.
‘Am I really that desperate for a man?’ Natasha thought, a wave of self-disgust washing over her. Maybe it was just that, after so long without any intimacy since her marriage, she’d pushed those desires aside for too long.
But now, the dam had finally broken open. It was like the flood had burst through, and she couldn’t hold herself back
anymore.
Natasha quickly freshened up, eager to get out of there. But as soon as she came downstairs, she ran right into Jared.
He had just picked up breakfast from the front door, delivered by a five-star hotel. When he saw Natasha, he raised an eyebrow. “Up already? Just in time for breakfast.”
Natasha, looking rushed, said, “I’m not hungry, I’m heading to work.” With that, she made a beeline for the door.
But Jared wrapped an arm around her waist and tugged her back. He grabbed his phone and called Derek.
“Give Ms. Whittier the day off. She doesn’t need to come into the office today,” he said, his voice low and commanding.
“Who said I’m not going?” Natasha’s heart skipped a beat, her eyes going wide in disbelief.
She’d literally just said she was heading out to work. ‘How could he just call in for me without even asking?’ Natasha thought, feeling both annoyed and helpless.
Natasha grabbed for his phone. “Derek, I need to go to the office-” But before she could finish, she heard Derek cough on the other end; it sounded super awkward.
That was when it hit her; Jared was personally calling in for her, and she was still yelling on his phone. Anyone listening would know they were together.
And it was still early, way before work hours. Anyone listening would know they’d spent the night together.
Thinking about it, Natasha couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. But before Natasha could say another word, Jared had already hung up.
He pulled her close, his chest warm against hers. Even though he was fully dressed, she could still feel the heat coming off
him.
“What are you doing? Let go of me!” Natasha blurted out, panic rising in her voice. She thought he was going to try something again, and immediately started struggling in his arms, her heart racing.
Jared leaned in, closing the distance between them. “So, have you thought about what I asked you last night?” Jared said, his voice low and insistent.
Natasha froze. She locked eyes with him, his stare unwavering, and her heart did a little flip. “What question?” she asked.
Jared slipped his hand around her waist, drawing her in until their bodies were almost touching. His gaze was deep and smoldering. “So, when are you going to let me take his spot?”
They’d already slept together more times than she could count. They’d shared more than just words; their bodies had spoken volumes.
‘Shouldn’t she at least think about giving me a real place in her life?’ Jared wondered.
Natasha froze, caught off guard. She looked at him, utterly incredulous.
‘He’s asking me that again?’ Natasha thought, feeling her head spin. ‘Is he seriously thinking of replacement?’
“You… let me think about it,” Natasha hesitated, blinking at him.
“How long will that take?” Jared asked.
He leaned in, closing the distance between them. His warm, masculine breath washed over her pale cheek. Jared’s body instinctively trembled as he leaned in close.
“I’ll give you an answer after the holiday,” Natasha replied, hoping to stall him.

Once the holiday was over, she’d disappear from his life. He wouldn’t be able to press her for an answer anymore.
Jared seemed to see right through her. He reached out, his sharply defined fingers tilting her delicate chin up.
“Too late! I want an answer right now!” he said, each word crisp and commanding, his tone leaving no room for refusal.
Natasha’s cheeks turned a deep red as she pushed against him, her movements resistant and flustered. “Stop it… don’t be like this…” she whispered, her voice shaky.
Jared pressed his forehead to hers, his voice laced with urgency. “Give me an answer,” he demanded, not letting up.
Natasha just stared at him, speechless. ‘How can anyone just answer a question like that?’ she thought, totally overwhelmed.
Her eyes darted around, panic written all over her face. Jared couldn’t help himself; he caught her lips in a sudden kiss
His voice was low and husky, with a teasing, seductive edge. “Be good and ditch that guy for me,” Jared coaxed.
Natasha felt a headache coming on, utterly speechless. ‘Who actually tries to make someone swap out their husband?’ she thought, completely exasperated.
Truth was, she and Percy were already divorced. It just wasn’t something she could make public yet.
“Answer me, or I’ll bite you!” Jared threatened, his voice low and a little playful. He was desperate to hear her answer.
He leaned in, about to bite her lips. Natasha felt completely trapped by him. She forced herself to reply, “Let me finish breakfast first, then I’ll tell you.”
“Alright, let’s go to the dining room,” Jared said, his tone softening a bit. He slipped his arm around her and walked with her to the dining room..
He arranged the breakfast on the table, setting everything out neatly. There was every kind of breakfast food one could think of, and the spread was super lavish.
Natasha pretended to be calm, doing her best to hide how nervous she really felt. She sat down and slowly started eating her breakfast, taking it one bite at a time.
Whatever answer she’d have to give later, at least she’d be full first. Jared kept her company, quietly sharing the meal with
her.
Now and then, he’d serve her some food, adding it to her plate. They stayed quiet, just eating, until breakfast was finished..
“I’m full,” Natasha said, setting down her fork.
She didn’t get up right away. Instead, she bit her lip and suggested, “How about we just be friends with benefits for now?”
“Friends with benefits?” Jared frowned, clearly not expecting that.
Natasha nodded. “Yeah, just friends with benefits. Hook up whenever we feel like it, nothing more. If you’re lonely, you can call me, and I’ll do the same. If either of us isn’t up for it or has something else going on, we can say no. No strings attached, no pressure.”
Jared’s eyes went cold. “So, you’re saying it’s just about the physical stuff, nothing more?”
“Yeah,” Natasha replied, her voice steady. She was painfully aware of just how out of Jared’s league she really was.
She was only the illegitimate daughter born to her father’s mistress in the Whittier family; how could she ever measure up to someone like him, the heir to a prominent family? And to make things worse, she was a divorcee.
Even if Jared could overlook her past and accept her, there was no way the Rundell family would ever accept someone like her.
‘Why am I making things so hard for myself, trying so desperately to squeeze into a world I’ll never belong in?’ Natasha thought, feeling a wave of resignation. ‘Why not just take care of our physical needs for now?’
Once he had his fill and grew bored, and she had healed, she could walk away with no strings attached. It was the best of both worlds.
Jared’s eyes turned intense. “You really don’t want to be my girlfriend? Or maybe… my-”
Before he could even finish the word “wife,” Natasha cut him off, pressing her hand firmly over his lips. “Nope!” Natasha shot back, not even pausing for a second.
Jared felt a surge of irritation he couldn’t quite suppress. He wished Natasha would just be his girlfriend or even his wife. Then they could actually be together for real, no more sneaking around. Not just hooking up in secret like this, pretending it was nothing.
“If you’re willing to get closer to me, I can give you so much more,” Jared said, his tone smooth and tempting. “Money, a boost in your career… anything you want.”

Natasha clenched her fists, lifted her chin, and replied, “I get it. With your status, if I took your money or let you help my career, I’d get ahead fast.
“But I also know that if I agreed, I’d just end up being at your beck and call, always worrying about your mood, doing whatever you wanted. Sorry, that’s just not me.”
