Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 854

Madeline:

Ever since Byron arrived, he'd been staring first at Baxter, then at Gina.

Of course, Gina didn't know him. She had no idea who he was, but he knew about her. He'd heard everything about her from me.

As for Baxter, the two of them had met under very strange circumstances.

After Baxter woke up, I'd told him all about Byron too.

So even without his memories, he knew about their interactions, or at least the ones I knew about, as well as my own history with Byron.

"All I have to say to you is, Byron, thank you so much. What you did for my family, and the way you took care of them, only made me respect you more." Byron pouted.

"Even with no memories?" Baxter joked, and he and Byron laughed.

The mansion was filled with mixed scents now, and there was only one good thing about the human world: humans couldn't recognize anyone by scent.

The only problem was that they were afraid of a wolf transformation if they saw one.

Apart from that, there wasn't much to worry about.

So Byron didn't have to worry too much about shifting or showing his wolf.

He would only be staying with one person, and he planned to tell her the truth.

"Don't worry. We're all friends now. We're all gonna help each other," Byron said, flashing that wide smile I remembered.

"You guys talk. I'll go help the kids get back to sleep," Baxter said.

It was still early morning when we'd called Byron over, and all the noise had woken the kids.

I gave Baxter a nod, watching as he confidently left me alone with Byron.

That was how much we trusted each other now.

"I'm so happy for you, Madeline."

Byron's voice snapped me back to reality.

We were sitting in the living room, just the two of us now.

"Thank you. I'm happy for myself too," I said, clasping my hands together. "But I'm still worried about Bodhi. My poor kid must be traumatized living with Eugenia."

I grumbled, anger rising inside me.

I'd kept that woman in my home. I'd given her a place, respect, and love, and this was what she'd done to me.

All this time, I'd never once realized that she was at the root of all the evil.

"But you haven't scared me enough either," I complained, remembering the last time we'd been in a cabin together, when he'd been really sick.

"Yeah, well, now it explains why," he said, touching the back of his neck.
