Daniel promised that he had my children, and I began to wonder if they had somehow found Bodhi as well.

I wasn't sure.

All I knew was that I had to sit silently in the room and wait for him to return and tell me what was going on.

He promised he would explain everything, but he told me I needed to stay calm.

I wasn't sure how long I could stay like that.

I didn't even sit down for a second. I just paced from one corner of the room to the other.

Being back in the human world was not what I wanted, unless both my children were with me.

Finally, the key jingled in the door, and I realized he had come back.

The door opened, but instead of Daniel, a maid stepped inside, with the same number of warriors stationed outside to make sure I didn't leave.

She carried a tray of food and set it down.

"Please finish your food. Daniel will come and speak with you right after you've finished eating," the maid urged, quickly stepping back toward the door to keep herself surrounded by the warriors.

"Tell him I'm seeing him first. I'm not eating anything. I know you guys are poisoning me," I snapped, watching her shake her head gently.

"I promise there is nothing in this food," she insisted.

I rolled my eyes and slapped my forehead.

"I don't want empty promises. I want you to go and bring Daniel to me. Otherwise, I'm not eating anything," I shouted, my fists clenched tightly.

Every time I made an abrupt movement, I noticed the warriors quickly placing their hands on their weapons, as though threatened by me.

"All I'm saying is, speak with Daniel. I need answers. And tell—" I paused, taking a deep, heavy breath. "and tell the President to come and see me. I want my children," I demanded, watching her meet my gaze before nodding.

However, the moment she stepped through the doorway, she replied, "I told you, you have to finish your food first."

With that, the door slammed shut, and I drove my fist against it.

The maid, who had seemed very timid at first, no longer looked that way.

She looked confident, possibly because she realized they had my children.

Or did they?

They kept calling them my children, but I knew only Elara had been in the car with me.

She placed the makeup items into the basket along with the dress.

"Please take a shower as well," she added before walking out.

At this point, I was fuming with anger.

I stared directly into the camera and raised my middle finger before grabbing the dress and the makeup basket and hurrying into the bathroom.

I checked the bathroom carefully to make sure there were no cameras before turning on the shower because whatever the fuck they were doing was creepy as fuck.

Once I had showered, I changed into the red dress.

I was that desperate to see my daughter again.

And to tell Sawyer to fucking let me go back to the werewolf land for my son.
