Emory kept questioning him.

Names.

Accounts.

Meetings.

Properties.

People Mr. White trusted.

Oscar knew less than I wanted him to.

But then Emory asked the right question.

"If your father needed somewhere in River City where nobody would connect him to the White family, where would he go?"

Oscar hesitated.

My pulse jumped.

"You know something."

"I don't know where he is."

"My father owns properties under other names."

"But if he took Jason, he wouldn't use anything connected to White. He knows you're going to search everything. He knows Jason has Chronos. He'd use something old. Something that existed before anyone knew what to look for."
