Tanya looked him dead in the eye, her voice laced with an unshakeable resolve. Why did she refuse to be with him? Because the Lynn family's hostility was far more terrifying than the Yelchin family's treatment of Starla!
Starla had managed to escape by faking her own death. But for Tanya... She never wanted to be pushed to that extreme! She just wanted a clean, peaceful break from him.
A heavy weight was already pressing down on Darian's chest, but hearing those words made it physically hard to breathe.
"Stop talking!" he snapped, his voice tight. A low, suppressed growl escaped him.
He had been incredibly stressed these past few days over the deaths of Herbert and Starla. But his desperate search for Tanya had forced him to push those feelings aside. Now, she was dragging their tragic ends out into the open, laying it all out bare and bloody. His chest tightened, a suffocating agony taking hold of him.
"Let's not let things get to that point," Tanya pleaded.
"It won't. You have to believe me, it won't happen!"
"Yulisa and your mother have already made a move against me. What else is there that couldn't possibly happen?"
Darian was silent.
Tanya knew exactly what the two women were doing behind his back. To prevent a repeat of the Starla situation in the Lynn family, they would go to any lengths to keep the two of them apart. As long as he kept clinging to her, he was putting her life at risk.
"I'm begging you. Just let me go, okay?"
Darian just stared at her. Let her go. Was ending their relationship really the only way to set her free?
"She keeps bringing up their deaths, over and over again," Darian choked out, grabbing the bottle and taking a long swig of liquor. The tragedy of those two was the last thing any of them wanted to dwell on right now. Especially considering how fierce Starla had been. Darian simply couldn't accept that her tumultuous relationship with Fairfax had ultimately led to her demise.
"She doesn't want things to end up like that with you," Caden said reasonably. It made perfect sense. Anyone would feel that way. Who would willingly stay in a relationship if they believed it would literally be the death of them?
"I never planned for things to go that far!"
"Do you think Fairfax did?" Caden shot back sharply.
The piercing question silenced Darian instantly, his breathing turning ragged.
"No one plans for it. Fairfax didn't either. But just because you don't intend for a worst-case scenario, doesn't mean it won't happen."

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
