Fiona handed Cora the latest DNA test results. “The expedited test results are out. Frank and Natalie are not biologically related.”

Cora remained calm. “As expected. Joe insisted on arguing with me over this. I’ll show him the report. now and see what else he has to say.”

“Hold on, Cora. There’s a logical flaw. Earlier, we rejected Joseph’s DNA report because it was fake. So, we shouldn’t accept this report as well. If we do, then his report should also be considered valid. I think this may have been his plan all along.”

“What do you mean?” Cora’s expression darkened as realization dawned on her.

*Joseph came up with the DNA test report, filed for divorce in court, posted everything on the company intranet, killed the carp Frank gave you, and now even had Natalie approach Frank. Every single move he’s made points to one objective. He wants to divorce you.”

“That bastard. The better I treat him, the more determined he is to divorce me!”

Cora called for Ella before storming into Joseph’s study. Then, she ordered Ella to tie Joseph up.

Joseph instinctively struggled for a moment before going still. He glared at Cora and said calmly, “So you’ve finally snapped, Cora Lowell. Are you going to break one of my legs this time? Or one of my arms? Or send me to a mental institution? Why not just kill me and get it over with?”

Fiona quickly urged, “Ms. Lowell, don’t do this.”

Cora locked eyes with Joseph. His expression made it clear that he had expected her reaction from the very beginning. It felt like he was playing her.

Cora told Ella to untie Joseph. Then, she ordered Ella and Fiona to leave the room.

“What are you up to, Joe?”

“How many times do I have to repeat myself? Natalie isn’t my daughter. She’s the child you had with another man. I’m only helping her find her real father.”

Cora stepped out and said with a calm expression, “Mom, Dad, Joe, stop arguing. I haven’t been feeling like myself lately. I’ll take the psychological evaluation. If the results show that something is wrong with me, I’ll get treatment.”

Bernard objected immediately. “Cora, you can’t do the test. If word gets out, it could cause serious

trouble for the company.”

“It won’t happen. Don’t worry, Dad. The company is doing fine. It’ll be all right.”

Cora then turned to Joseph and continued, “Joe, come with me. You can observe everything and decide whether I’m really sick. Then you can go back to your normal life.”

“Cora, don’t be mistaken. Whether you’re insane or not has nothing to do with your infidelity. Those are two separate issues.”

“We can settle the disagreements one by one. We can confirm whether I’m mentally ill first. After that, we’ll deal with the other issue. Just like you, I believe in science and in facts.”
