After Kimberly finished washing up, she went to play with Joseph a little before Joseph had her sleep with Ella.

In the bedroom, Cora let out a sigh of relief after Joseph passionately vented his frustrations. But before she could react, Joseph suddenly bound her wrists and ankles.

Cora said, “Joseph, what are you doing?”

Joseph smirked. “It’s nothing special. I’m just letting you experience what it felt like when I was tied up.”

Cora struggled slightly. “This isn’t funny! I’ve tried it now, so let me go! I’ll respect you from now on and never do that again.”

Joseph replied, “I’ll untie you in a while.”

As he pulled her close again, he asked, “Do the men outside treat you like this, too?”

“I don’t have any other men. You’re my only one!”

Cora closed her eyes and let herself enjoy the physical pleasure, but her mind remained perfectly clear. She refused to fall into one of Joseph’s traps.

Joseph retorted, “I know you do!”

Cora scoffed. “Honey, do you have any proof?”

Joseph laughed coldly. “Proof? So you’ll never admit it unless I catch you in bed with one of them?”

Cora looked at him. “That’s only fair. If you catch me with another man, then I’ll admit it. Otherwise, you’re just accusing me without evidence. Wouldn’t I have to suffer for no reason? Honey, you have to believe me. I haven’t done anything to wrong you.”

A faint moan escaped her lips as she spoke.

Joseph only thought to himself that not a single word Cora said was believable anymore. At that moment, he fully understood just what kind of person Cora was. He lost all patience with arguing and started to spank her instead.

The next day, Joseph left early as usual. He paid no attention to Cora’s insistence that he quit his job or take leave to stay at home with the children.

Cora immediately walked into Grace’s temporary home and stared right at her.

Grace raised an eyebrow. “So this is how you people operate?”

Cora shrugged. “We’re all adults here. Why bother with endless games and riddles? If you’d stayed away from my husband, I’d have treated you like a younger sister and given you the best treatment. After all, I might need your help if I visit Croma someday.

“Leave Jenton today. Otherwise, there’s no telling what might happen to you.”

Cora walked toward the door. Just before stepping out, she paused. “My husband is a very pure person. You people getting involved will only corrupt him.”

Grace almost laughed. “Pure? Or simply easy to deceive? We’re both women here. I understand you better than Joseph does.”

Cora shot Grace a threatening look. “No matter what you think of me, I can say this much. I’ve never betrayed my husband. Why am I even explaining myself to an outsider? Go home.”

Then, Cora turned around and left.
