When I Flash-Married a Billionaire, My Ex Went on a Hunger Strike novel Chapter 33

Louis chuckled. "Does your dad know how much of a flirt you are?"

Before the little boy could answer, a notification popped up at the top of Louis’ phone screen.

It was a message from Zachary.

“White-Coat, Madame Lee tagged you in the group chat.”

Louis frowned slightly, no longer paying attention to his nephew.

His long fingers tapped the screen as he switched back to the Market Gods chat.

Scrolling up a few messages, he found Madame Lee’s comment.

“You said I’m spreading fake news. Don’t tell me you actually bought the dip today?"

Louis’ lips curved slightly, as if letting out a cold chuckle.

He typed his reply. "@Madame Lee, thanks for your concern, but sorry to disappoint you."

After sending her last message, Adora noticed he hadn’t responded for a while and assumed he had logged off.

But the moment his reply popped up on her screen, she smirked and quickly typed back.

"You’re welcome. Must’ve lost quite a bit today—try not to take it too hard. Money comes and goes."

Mason sent a laughing emoji. "That’s what I call a sarcastic consolation."

Madame Lee chimed in, "I was being sincere."

White-Coat Deity responded casually, "Sorry to disappoint, didn’t lose much."

Madame Lee pressed on. "So, you rebalanced your portfolio?"

Louis stared at his phone, his brows furrowing slightly.

After a long pause, he finally replied, “Liquidated everything this morning."

The chat immediately exploded.

Everyone started teasing him.

After all, just yesterday, he argued with Madame Lee, even betting against her, claiming the market downturn wasn’t over.

And now, it turned out he quietly cashed out everything too.

Mason commented, "So White-Coat is all talk but secretly follows through."

Elliot added, "White-Coat ultimately lost to Madame Lee."

Adora saw that message and burst into laughter and thought, “Hah, it seems like this guy is just as fake as his screen name.”

He tagged a few members. "@Madame Lee @White-Coat Deity @Miles"

Miles was the first to respond. "Sounds good! This group has been around for four years, and we’ve never actually met. With Madame Lee back, we might as well celebrate her safe return!"

Mason asked, "@Coach Ryan, what tournament?"

"Summer Basketball League," Coach Ryan replied.

That got everyone excited.

None of them had expected that someone in the group was secretly a professional basketball coach.

Zachary asked for the team’s name, and when he saw the response, his surprise only deepened!

Miles chimed in excitedly, "I love your team’s power forward, Jack Wheeler! We have to make this meetup happen!"

Adora lost interest as the conversation shifted and chose not to participate further.

But Louis was still lurking, silently observing the chat.

He was surprised—what a small world.

It turned out that the professional basketball team that Coach Ryan managed was the very same one that Walker Corporation had been sponsoring for years.

Miles tagged them again. "@White-Coat Deity @Madame Lee, do you two have time to meet up? I’d really love to see what Madame Lee actually looks like in person."
