Jade still hadn’t read the room. She yanked Ryan to his feet: “Wrong? You did nothing wrong! You’re about to make it big who cares if she has property? Come on, stay with me!” 

I had no idea what grand promises Ryan had fed her to make her think this loser could 

strike it rich. 

As far as I knew, he’d been working construction sites for three years and couldn’t even manage to become a project leader. 

“I just made a mistake that any man could make!” 

Even as he left, Ryan was still making excuses, revealing his completely unrepentant nature. 

Sarah twisted the knife: “A real man makes his wife beautiful and prosperous. A real man 

provides for his family. But you? You’re like rotten lettuce in a garbage can. And some 

women just love picking through trash – birds of a feather, I guess.” 

She shot pointed looks at Jade while speaking. 

I couldn’t resist adding: “He’s just another woman’s throwaway, but you treat him like 

treasure. Did you forget how quickly he tried to dump you when he heard about my 

property? Now that I don’t want him, he runs back to you. Even stray dogs show more 

loyalty!” 

“Well said, girl!” Sarah led the applause. 

Jade’s confidence wavered, but she tried to maintain her facade: “We’re happy together – don’t be jealous of our passion!” 

“Oh really?” Every word from Jade’s mouth sounded like a joke to me. 

Seeing the bruised pair still eyeing my property, shamelessly lingering, Sarah delivered two more resounding slaps. 

“What are you looking at? This isn’t your place. She told you to get out – stop embarrassing yourselves!TM

Jade started to fight back but, seeing we had numbers on our side, finally pulled Ryan away 

to leave 

When they headed tow 

301 with their things, I blocked their path with a smile:

“Sorry Jade. I forgot to mention when I said get out, I meant completely out.” 

Jade pushed past me arrogantly: “This is MY home. You’re divorcing Ryan anyway, we’ll live 

our best life here. You can’t make us leave.” 

I laughed: “Your home? Can either of you afford to buy property?”
