But before he could take a single step, Silas blocked his path. "Where exactly do you think you're going, Mr. Sinclair? We aren't finished here. Who gave you permission to leave?"
Julian halted, biting back his fury. "Mr. Thorne, Willow has completed the experiment and proven her innocence. The victor is clear, and we concede. Let's leave it at that."
"Leave it at that?" Silas let out a low chuckle, his dark eyes leveling them with an icy glare. "Willow completing that experiment solo simply proved her competence. It crushed your pathetic smears and vindicated her professional reputation. But that does not mean this matter is over."
"What more do you want?" Julian's face twisted into an ugly scowl.
Silas continued to treat him like dirt beneath his shoes. "Vivienne Sinclair hacked into a top-tier research account, stole core experimental data, and deliberately framed an innocent person. We still have a score to settle for that."
Upon hearing this, Vivienne's heart violently seized in her chest. Her pupils dilated in sheer panic as she blurted out, "What nonsense are you spewing? I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"No idea?" Silas's gaze grew even colder. He raised a hand, signaling the tech crew behind him to cast onto the main screen. "Over the past few days, I hired a premier digital forensics team and a cross-border data legal squad. They traced the entire backend login log, IP addresses, device fingerprints, and offshore proxy routing history for the WH account."
Impossible. How could this be happening?
She had been so careful. She spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, and those hackers promised her that even the government wouldn't be able to trace it. How on earth did Silas Thorne dig this up?
Backed into a corner with nowhere left to run, she clung to the only strategy she had left: absolute denial. Feigning dizziness, she let her eyes unfocus and her voice tremble. "I don't understand a word you're saying. I barely even comprehend what these things mean, so how could I possibly do them? Mr. Thorne, just because you hold a position of power and want to protect Willow, doesn't mean you can just forcefully pin these crimes on me."
