Danielle waved him off with a grin and looked at Kirsten. "I'll let you two be. Get some rest, and call me if you need anything."
"Remember, follow your heart. I'll always support you."
Kirsten nodded, deep gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you, Danielle."
Danielle gave her a quick hug, then turned toward her car. Before walking away, she shot Gian a highly expressive 'don't screw this up' look.
Gian caught the message perfectly. A faint smile touched his lips, and he gave a subtle nod in response.
The hospital entrance was quiet now, leaving just Kirsten and Gian.
Walking beside him, Kirsten looked at his profile, her gaze softening.
She broke the silence, her voice soft. "Gian. About the divorce... I've made a decision."
Gian stopped dead in his tracks and whipped around to face her.
"You have?"
Seeing the blatant panic on his face, Kirsten couldn't help but smile. "Yeah. I've decided. We're not getting a divorce."
Gian's entire body went rigid. Slowly, he reached out and pulled her into a tight embrace.
He rested his chin gently on top of her head. "Kirsten, thank you. Thank you for giving me a chance."
"I'm not giving you a chance. I'm giving us a chance."
Her voice was soft but incredibly clear. "Gian, whatever misunderstandings we had, we'll work through them slowly."
They walked the rest of the way to the car.
She was willing to give him a chance, and herself one too, but she didn't want to back either of them into a corner.
Romance couldn't be rushed. Especially when she knew Gian still had his own demons to face.
She knew better than anyone how Gian used to look at Danielle.
She remembered how he used to quietly take drinks for Danielle at parties. How he was always the first to rush over whenever Danielle was in trouble. How his eyes would soften the moment her name was brought up.
Those feelings had been intensely real. They wouldn't just vanish overnight.
Maybe the way he was treating her now was just guilt. Maybe it was habit. Or maybe it was just because she was the safest option right now, not out of genuine, earth-shattering love.
She wasn't going to bet her whole life on a few moments of warmth, and she refused to let a 'no divorce' agreement become a cage for either of them.
Gian knew she was right. They both needed time to let go of the past and figure out what they truly wanted.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
Although she was one of the protagonist (and best friend of Danielle), I'm really annoyed with Kristen. What does she actually want? She wants to be completely free from Gian, whatever their business is. But when Gian doesn't care about her, she gets annoyed and overthinks. Hey, Kristen, the world doesn't revolve around you. You may follow your own feelings, but that doesn't mean you can ignore other people's feelings at all!...
It seems like this novel will end at chapter 5000. Every time one issue ends, another one pops up, and it seems like the author is just trying to drag it out. I'm starting to get tired of reading it....
I hope daniele will have no end game with alexander since whatever the reason is, he only give her too much grievencess. I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele. Hated that in the name of love or protection alexander can treat another woman better, not just once, but with this new lorie girl... Oh my blood pressure getting higher cause by the new plot :(...
