The group left Rebecca's clinic and drove home.
The atmosphere in the car was noticeably lighter. Danielle glanced in the rearview mirror to see Raffy sitting quietly, his hands resting on his knees. He kept sneaking glances at Alex, completely unable to hide the joy in his eyes.
Her heart melted, and she spoke softly. "Raffy, when we get home, you can play with your sister. She's been talking about you every single day."
Raffy gave a soft "Mm," his face brightening with anticipation.
As soon as the car pulled into the driveway of the estate, Niki, who had been waiting at the door with the nanny, spotted them.
The moment the car parked, the little girl sprinted over on her short legs, pressing her face against the window. "Daddy! Mommy!"
When the door opened and Raffy stepped out, Niki's eyes widened. She threw herself forward, her face tilted up in a massive grin. "Brother!"
Raffy froze for a second before a small smile crept onto his face, and he gently took Niki's hand.
The two siblings, reunited after so long, showed no distance—only uncontainable joy. Hand in hand, they skipped into the house, their cheerful chatter instantly filling the entire home with life.
Danielle stood by the car, watching their retreating figures, a tender smile unconsciously touching her lips.
"I'm going to pack our things for tomorrow's trip," she said, turning toward the house.
"I'll help you," Alex replied, following close behind.

Danielle opened the closet and pulled out comfortable jackets, followed by the kids' blankets, water bottles, and snack boxes, organizing everything with meticulous care.
Her movements were gentle and focused, as if she were folding all her love into these trivial little tasks.
Alex stood at the doorway, watching her silently for a moment.
Over the past few days, his mood had been abysmal, his state of mind a wreck. He hadn't even been able to offer her a decent word of comfort, yet she had never complained or demanded answers.
