(Late for love) Chapter 6
After hanging up, I went out, and Wanda was still there, chatting with Grant.
His face was still gloomy. After a long pause, he brought up that thing again.
“You finished with your friend? Change that tag, now.”
I glanced at him, surprised. He did care, didn’t he? I nodded, but he didn’t know what I was really thinking about. Grant took it as an agreement and relaxed, which was observed by Wanda.
Her expression changed. She didn’t expect Grant to mind it so much.
“It’s still early. Rosie, Grant, let me take you out to dinner and a movie.
Thank you for being there for me.” her.
I knew why Wanda made that suggestion: to tell me how nice Grant was to
I refused. First, I didn’t want to be a part of this game. Second, I had a lot of things to do. But Wanda wouldn’t give up. With a sad expression, she turned to Grant.
“Rosie’s still mad at me, right? I was being too selfish and stupid… Rosie, I’m sorry.”
She began to cry, making Grant sorry for her. Then, he cast a disapproving look at me.
I sighed. If I refused, Wanda would cry, and I’d be the bad guy. So, I reluctantly agreed.
It was dinner time, so we went to a restaurant. It was a seafood restaurant. In the private room, I looked at Grant.
