Chapter Severity Four
Chapter Seventy Four
“This is why you are my Luna, my queeh… my mate,” Talon said, his laughter low but full of pride as he looked at Diana.
There was something fierce in his eyes.
Not just love.
Respect.
Clam
“You don’t need a king to protect you,” he continued, his voice softer now as he pulled her into him. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, inhaling her scent like it grounded him. “Even though I always say I want to protect you… you can do it yourself.”
He tilted her chin slightly, smiling at her.
“And you do it with that beautiful smile on your face.”
Diana rolled her eyes lightly, but there was warmth there.
Talon chuckled before his expression hardened again as he turned his attention back to Damon.
“You heard my queen,” Talon said, his tone shifting back to Alpha command. “She has already made her choice.”
There was no doubt in his voice.
No room for interpretation.
“If that is all you came for,” Talon continued, “I can have my beta escort you out of my territory.”
The room grew still.
Damon didn’t move.
Instead, he gave a slow, almost amused smile.
“Not quite,” Damon said calmly.
His eyes flickered briefly toward Diana before returning to Talon.
“As I said before… until you place your mark on her, I still have a chance.”
A low growl rumbled from Talon’s chest.
But Damon didn’t stop.
“And since I am already here,” Damon continued, his tone measured, “I would like to formally request permission to stay within your pack territory. I heard you will have your marking ceremony next week? So, let me witness it.”
That made the tension in the room spike.

Damon continued as if he hadn’t just dropped something dangerous into the room.
Claim
“We can also discuss a potential alliance between your pack and my kingdom,” he added. “I believe such an alliance could be… beneficial to both of us.”
Talon’s eyes narrowed.
“And what makes you think I would want an alliance with you?” he asked coldly..
He took a step forward, his presence pressing down on the room.
“And how exactly is this an invitation?” Talon continued. “You are asking to stay in my territory, yet you speak as if I have no choice but to allow it.”
Damon didn’t flinch.
“Don’t tell me you haven’t considered it,” Damon said evenly.
He folded his arms behind his back, posture relaxed-but calculated.
“The increase in rogue attacks,” he continued. “And before you assume, I am not referring to my rogues.”
His gaze sharpened slightly.
“I’m talking about the feral ones.”
That caught attention.
Even Talon stilled slightly.
“They are increasing,” Damon went on. “Not just in your territory. Even within my kingdom, attacks have become more frequent.”
Damon let that settle before continuing.
“They are becoming more aggressive. Less controlled. More… desperate.”
Talon crossed his arms.
“And why should I trust you?” he asked. “You are still a rogue king! What makes you any different from the feral rogues you speak of?”
Damon smirked faintly.
“Didn’t you notice?” he said.
He gestured subtly toward the door outside Talon’s office-stand his beta.
“My beta cannot fully hide his scent.”
The room grew quieter.
“Our kind is different,” Damon continued. “Think of us as having our own… structured pack scent. Controlled. Distinct.”
He tilted his head slightly.

“Feral roques do not have that. Their scent is chaotic. Unstable.”
Damon’s gaze shifted back to Diana.
“But let me be clear about one thing,” he added.
There was something almost dangerous in his tone now.
“I will try to change your mind, Diana.”
Talon’s growl deepened instantly.

“I will do everything in my power to make you choose me,” Damon said without hesitation. “And until you carry a mate mark… I still have that right.”
The air thickened.
Diana let out a slow breath.
Her patience was wearing thin.
کے
She glanced at Talon briefly, sensing the storm building inside him.
Then she looked back at Damon.
For a moment, she said nothing.
Then-
“You are either very brave,” she said calmly, “or completely out of your mind.”
“You’ve lost your mind if you think I’ll let you stay in my-“Talon started, his voice rising-
But Diana placed a hand on his arm.
He stopped.
Immediately.
Diana stepped forward slightly, her presence steady and commanding.
“It’s alright, Talon,” she said.
Talon looked at her, searching her face.
Then, reluctantly, he stepped back.
Diana turned to Damon.
“You and your beta can stay,” she said.
A ripple of surprise moved through the room.
Talon’s eyes snapped to her, but he said nothing.
Diana continued.

“It will benefit the pack if an alliance can be established,” she said. “And if what you’re saying about the Teral rogues is true, then we cannot ignore it.”
She paused.
“But,” she added, her tone sharpening, “there will be conditions.”
Damon’s lips curved slightly.
“I expected nothing less.”
Diana lifted her chin.
“If you stay, you will stop hiding your scent,” she said firmly. “I want every member of this pack to recognize you. No deception: No concealment.”
Damon inclined his head.
“Fair.”
“And you will not move freely within our territory,” Diana continued. “You and your beta will always be accompanied by one of ours.”
