Chapter Two Hundred Twelve
Fenrir exploded forward The enormous black wolf landed directly in front of the charging horde. His roar shook the battlefield. The first feral wolf barely had time to react before Fenrir ripped its throat open. A second lost its head. A third was crushed beneath his massive paws.
Blood sprayed across the earth. Diana couldn’t shift. Not now. Not while carrying the twins.
Instead… She drew both blades. The silver steel flashed. One slash. Another. Every strike was precise. Efficient. Fatal.
She moved like flowing water despite her pregnancy. Every motion protected her stomach. Every movement minimized unnecessary strain. Artemis remained inside. Guarding the pups. Healing only enough to keep Diana moving.
Whenever Diana received a cut… Golden light immediately surrounded the wound. Ravenna’s magic.
The White Witch never stopped casting. Her hands glowed continuously. Healing. Protecting. Supporting.
But every spell made her face grow paler. Hours seemed to pass. Neither Talon nor Diana could tell
anymore.
The feral rogues simply… Never stopped coming. One wave after another.
Another.
Another.
Another.
Their bodies became heavier. Their breathing harsher. Fenrir’s fur was soaked in blood. Some his own. Most belonging to his enemies.
Diana’s arms trembled every time she raised her blades. Ravenna could barely remain standing. Her magic reserves were almost depleted.
Still… The three of them remained surrounded. No matter how many feral rogues they killed… More emerged from the darkness.
It was endless. It was hopeless.
Until…
Everything suddenly stopped. Every feral rogue froze. As though hearing an invisible command.
One by one… They retreated. Not running. Walking. Calmly. Silently. Returning to the forest.
The battlefield became eerily quiet. Only the groans of wounded warriors remained.
Then…
The ground began trembling. Not from hundreds of paws. From something… Far worse.
Darkness spread across the earth like living shadows. Trees withered where it passed. Grass blackened

instantly. The air itself became heavy.
Cold.
Oppressive.
Even Fenrir instinctively lowered his body into a defensive stance.
Artemis growled inside Diana’s mind.
“He’s here.”
Ravenna’s face turned deathly pale. She whispered…
“Thorne…”

A lone figure slowly emerged from the darkness. Each step echoed unnaturally across the battlefield. His long black cloak swayed behind him despite the wind being completely still.
Dark magic coiled around his body like living serpents. His crimson eyes glowed with madness.
And on his lips… Rested a terrifying smile.
He stopped only a few yards away from them. His gaze ignored Talon. Ignored Ravenna. It settled solely upon Diana.
Then… His smile widened.
“Three against one…”
His voice was calm. Almost amused.
“I think that’s a fair match.”
His crimson eyes slowly traveled over Diana. Pausing… Ever so briefly… On her stomach.
A knowing smile appeared.
“What a shame… The mighty Silver Wolf… has become weak.”
He chuckled softly.
“And your companions?”
He looked toward Talon and Ravenna.
“They’re even weaker.”
His laughter echoed through the blood–soaked battlefield.
“I must admit… It was worth the effort.”
He slowly spread his arms.
“Creating thousands of feral rogues… Attacking every allied pack… Keeping the Rogue Kingdom occupied… Stretching your forces until none could come to your aid…”

His smile became almust joyful.
“It was all worth it… just to stand here.”
His crimson eyes locked onto Diana’s.
“At last… The Silver Wolf. And this time… You have nowhere left to run.”

“I have no intention of running,” Diana said, tightening her grip on her twin blades. Even surrounded by countless feral rogues, she refused to show the slightest hint of fear. Her green forest eyes met Thorne’s crimson gaze without wavering. “You may have surrounded us with your feral army, but the Black Howler Pack will stand strong. We have faced impossible odds before, and we will face them again. My pack will never kneel before you.”
Thorne let out a low, amused chuckle. It started softly before growing into a dark, mocking laugh that echoed across the blood–soaked battlefield.
“Ah… such confidence.” He slowly clapped his hands together, his smile widening with every step he took toward them. “Wishful thinking, Silver Wolf. Truly admirable.”
His crimson eyes swept over the battlefield, where Black Howler warriors continued fighting desperately against the remaining feral rogues.
“Your wolves…” he said almost lazily, “are certainly capable of killing my feral creations.”
His gaze shifted toward Talon.
“And your mate…”
He studied the Alpha King for a long moment before a cruel smile spread across his face.
“The strongest Alpha King of this generation.”
He nodded slowly, as though acknowledging Talon’s strength.
“Yes… he can fight my feral rogues. But…”
His voice suddenly became cold.
“Can he fight me?”
Without the slightest warning, Thorne casually flicked his wrist. The earth beneath Talon’s feet exploded. A jagged black spike shot upward with terrifying speed. It pierced straight through Talon’s thigh.
CRACK!
The force lifted him slightly off balance before he landed heavily on one knee. Blood immediately poured from the wound.
“Talon!” Diana shouted, instinctively stepping toward him.
Fenrir roared inside their shared bond, fury shaking the Alpha King’s entire being.
“I’M FINE!” Talon growled through gritted teeth, refusing to take his eyes off Thorne even as pain shot through his leg.

Before Diana could reach him, Raveria moved. She raised both hands. Ancient words flowed from her Tips in the uld language of witches. Unlike Thorne’s dark chants, her voice was gentle. Pure. Warm.
Golden light surrounded the black spike. The cursed magic dissolved into glittering particles before disappearing completely, Immediately afterward, the same warm light wrapped around Talon’s injured leg. The torn flesh knitted itself together. Muscle reformed. Bone repaired itself. Within seconds… Only blood remained to show he had ever been wounded.
Talon slowly stood again, testing his leg before planting both feet firmly on the ground.
Thorne watched the healing with an unreadable expression. Then he laughed.
