The Silver Wolf (Diana and Talon) novel Chapter 150

Chapter One Hundred Fifty

Clum

A tense silence settled over the ceremonial hall after Diana’s words. No one spoke. No one challenged the Alpha King’s authority.

Everyone’s attention shifted to Damon, then to Talon. The two kings stood several feet apart. Different kingdoms. Different ways of ruling. But at this moment… United by the same purpose. Protecting the ones they loved.

Talon slowly turned toward Damon. His expression remained unreadable.

Then, in a voice that carried to every corner of the hall, he spoke.

“I accept your request, Rogue King Damon.”

A murmur spread among the gathered wolves.

Talon ignored it.

“I acknowledge your right as a mate to seek justice.”

He looked directly into Damon’s crimson eyes.

“Rafe will be handed over to you.”

The words echoed through the hall.

“You may deal with him as you see fit.”

A pause.

“There is only one thing I ask.”

His golden eyes hardened.

“Do not let him escape.”

Another pause.

“And make him answer… for every crime he has committed. For every life he destroyed. For every tear he caused. And for every drop of blood my mate and my sister shed because of him.”

His voice was absolute. Final. Damon inclined his head respectfully.

“You have my word.”

Cerberus growled in satisfaction inside his mind.

The wolf had already begun imagining the hunt.

Unfortunately-

The Elder Council was far less accepting.

Alpha King.”

Elder Garrick stepped forward.

His normally calm fase was lined with concern.

“You cannot simply make a decision of this magnitude without consulting the Council.”

The remaining Elders nodded in agreement.

“This matter concerns all allied packs. There are procedures. There are laws. There are-”

Talon raised one hand. The Elder fell silent. Not because of an Alpha command. Because Talon requested the chance to speak.

Talon looked at each Elder in turn.

‘I can.”

His answer was calm.

“And I just did.”

The room fell quiet again. His aura slowly expanded throughout the hall. Not enough to force submission. Only enough to remind everyone exactly who stood before them.

‘I respect the Elder Council.”

His voice remained steady.

‘I always will.”

He inclined his head slightly toward them.

“You are the guardians of our laws. You preserve the traditions that have kept our packs united for generations.”

A pause.

‘But…”

His gaze sharpened.

“My responsibilities differ from yours.”

The Elders listened carefully.

“You judge succession. You oversee Alpha inheritance. You interpret our laws.”

He nodded once.

“I do not dispute any of that.”

His voice deepened.

“But protecting the Royal Family… protecting the Luna Queen… protecting every allied Luna…”

He slowly shook his head.

“That responsibility belongs to me.”

His Alpha King’s aura intensified.

“My mate was attacked.”

He looked toward Diana. /

“The Luna Queen.”

Then toward Willow.

“My sister. The future Queen of the Rogue Kingdom.”

His jaw tightened.

“Both suffered because of the same wolf.”

His eyes returned to Elder Garrick.

“And today…”

He gestured toward the blood staining the floor.

“Rafe confessed. He admitted threatening my mate. He admitted attacking my sister. He admitted he intended to continue hunting the Luna Queen.”

The room remained silent. Talon took one slow breath.

“So tell me, Elders.”

His voice was calm.

“Do you truly expect me… to remain silent?”

No one answered. Not immediately. Even Elder Garrick hesitated. Because Talon wasn’t speaking only as an Alpha.

He was speaking as a mate. As a brother. As a king.

Diana gently reached for Talon’s hand. She could feel Fenrir’s fury simmering beneath the surface. She gave his fingers a reassuring squeeze. Talon relaxed slightly. Then continued.

“I agree that Vanessa’s future requires discussion.”

He looked toward the broken Alpha heir.

“She will face judgment. And that judgment deserves careful consideration.”

His gaze shifted back toward the Elders.

“But Rafe…”

His expression hardened.

requires no further debate. He confessed He threatened. He attacked. He attempted murder. There is nothing left to investigate.”

His voice became final.

“The discussion ended the moment he admitted his crimes.”

The Elders looked at one another. None of them disagreed. Not anymore. Talon slowly turned toward the Royal Guards standing nearby. Immediately every warrior straightened.

“My King.”

Their voices echoed as one. Talon’s aura spread through the hall once more.

“Royal Guards.”

His command rang like steel.

“Take the prisoner.”

Two captains immediately stepped forward. Four more guards surrounded Rafe. The former Beta struggled weakly.

“Get your hands off me!”

He snarled.

“You’ll regret this!”

No one reacted..

“Escort him to the deepest dungeon beneath Stone Claw.”

Talon continued.

“Maximum security. No visitors. No conversations. No exceptions.”

His deep blue eyes swept across every wolf present.

“If anyone requests permission to see him… They are to be denied. And reported directly to me.”

He paused deliberately.

“I don’t care who asks. An Alpha. A Luna. A Beta. An Elder.”

His voice remained unwavering.

“Even if it is one of my own officers.”

Every Royal Guard bowed deeply.

“Understood, Alpha King.”

Talon wasn’t finished.

“The only wolves permitted to see Rafe…”

He looked toward Damon:

…are myself… and the Rogue King.”

Damon nodded once.

“I accept those conditions.”

The guards grabbed Rafe by both arms.

“No!”

He struggled wildly.

“You can’t do this!”

His voice echoed desperately through the hall.

“You have no right! You’ll regret this!”

Vanessa looked away. She couldn’t bear to watch.

The guards dragged Rafe toward the large ceremonial doors. His screams gradually faded down the corridor.

Until… Silence. Complete silence. No one spoke for several long moments. The entire atmosphere inside the hall had changed.

Only minutes earlier- This had been a celebration. Now… It felt like a royal tribunal.

Talon slowly exhaled. Then looked around the hall.

‘There is nothing further to witness today.”

His voice carried easily.

‘The ceremony is officially suspended.”

He looked toward the gathered Alphas and Lunas.

“I apologize for the events you have witnessed.”

His tone was sincere.

“This was not the gathering any of us expected.”

Several allied Alphas bowed respectfully.
