The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 541

Danny pauses for a moment, clearly taken aback, before a wide grin breaks across his face. He pulls out his phone and hurries over, eager to play photographer. He patiently snaps several photos, going so far as to professionally direct their posture and expressions. Finally, he turns to his mother with a hopeful look. "Take a couple of me and Tara too, will you?"

"Of course!" Katie agrees without hesitation. She happily circles them, snapping away from various angles while barking orders at her son. "You idiot, stand a little closer! Put your right arm lightly around her waist! Do you know how to take a picture at all? Your expression is so stiff, people are going to think Tara owes you money!"

Despite the scolding, Danny manages to secure several photos with Tara. They aren't overly intimate, but they certainly aren't distant either. As he looks at the screen, a surge of pure delight washes over him, completely erasing his mother's teasing from his mind. Up until now, their only photos together were official promotional stills from the show. Back then, he hadn't quite worked up the nerve to ask her for a casual, personal photo. By the time he actually had the courage, he hadn't known how to bring it up without risking scaring her off.

But now, thanks to his mother, he has a whole gallery of perfect shots. They genuinely look like a couple. Feeling immensely satisfied, Danny dutifully texts the photos to both Katie and Tara.

"Haha, these turned out fantastic," Katie says, beaming at her screen. "We all look so good, there's not even a need for filters. Absolutely perfect."

Meanwhile, Julianna stands frozen, struggling to accept reality. Like Bonnie, she had fully expected Katie to be furious and disgusted by Tara's presence. Instead, the woman has eagerly absorbed Tara into her inner circle, laughing and taking photos as if the three of them are already a family.

And there is one microscopic detail that Julianna absolutely cannot ignore. She distinctly hears Mrs. Calhoun drop all formalities and affectionately call Tara by her first name.
