Chapter 270: Nadina Move-2

His chest rose and felt rapidly, his hands trembling against my waist. He was completely out of control, consumed by the urge to protect us and destroy the woman who had just threatened our family.

I looked at his furious face, and suddenly, the shock inside me curdled into pure, hot adrenaline. The fear vanished, replaced by an overwhelming wave of anger.

“Honestly,” I snapped, my eyes flashing. “How I wish I could see that bitch right now. Let’s find her. Let’s settle this with our fists!”

Caleb froze. He stared down at me, his furious expression faltering.

“I mean it, Caleb!” I said. “I want to drag her out of that studio myself. I want to hit her. I want to show her what happens when she tries to touch my family!”

A sudden, quiet silence stretched across the room.

Then, Caleb’s lips twitched. The dark, terrifying rage in his eyes softened, replaced by a faint, amused warmth. He looked at me, a genuine, quiet smile breaking across his face despite the chaos surrounding

“What?” I demanded, glaring at him. “Why are you smiling?”

“Bella,” Caleb said softly, his hands moving up to cup my face. “If we go find her and settle this with our fists, we will be proving her right. We will show the entire world that we want to ruin her life.”

I let out a harsh breath, my shoulders dropping as his logical words registered. “She is trying to destroy everything we built, Caleb. She is calling you a rapist.”

“I know,” Caleb said, his voice turning steady and calm, grounding me. “But we are going to fight this the right way. Not with violence. We fight this with facts, with legal power, and with the truth. We are a team, remember?”

I looked into his steady grey eyes, feeling the panic completely leave my body. He was right. Nadina wanted a reaction. She wanted us to look like the ruthless, threatening monsters she claimed we were.

“Okay,” I said, nodding slowly. “Okay. We don’t use our fists.”

“Though I appreciate the sentiment,” Caleb murmured, brushing his thumb across my cheek. “It’s highly attractive when you defend me.”

“Don’t get used to it,” I muttered, but I couldn’t help the small smile that touched my lips.

Lena cleared her throat, holding Victor safely in her arms. “I hate to interrupt this moment, but the phone lines are lighting up. The Marchetti legal team is already calling my personal cell, and Black Enterprises’ PR department is in a state of absolute panic.”

Caleb stepped back, his posture shifting instantly into his commanding corporate persona. “Tell them to shut up and wait for my instructions. We do not release a single statement until we draft it together.”

“I’m writing it,” I said, stepping up beside him. “We write it together. Under my name and yours. We do not hide behind corporate spokespeople.”

Caleb looked down at me, a proud, fierce look in his eyes. “We write it together.”

“I’ll coordinate with both legal teams,” Lena said, nodding quickly as she walked toward the door with Victor. “We have forty eight hours to control the narrative before the mainstream press completely solidifies this story.
