St. Agnes Hospital, Health Screening Center.
"Careful, Grandma," Lavinia said, stepping sideways to shield Judith from a toddler sprinting down the hall.
Judith patted Lavinia's hand affectionately, smiling. "It's fine. I'm not so old that I can't walk."
They settled into the waiting area while Maeve went up to the desk to check in. Lavinia pulled out her phone, scrolling through the schedule for the medical tests.
"Ms. Joplin?"
Lavinia looked up and blinked in surprise.
Florence stood just a few steps away. Recognizing Lavinia, she broke into a warm smile and walked over.
"Florence, what are you doing here?" Lavinia asked, standing up to greet her.
"I just needed to pick up a prescription," Florence said happily. Her gaze drifted from Lavinia to the elderly woman sitting beside her.
Instantly, the smile froze on Florence's face. She stared at Judith, her lips moving without a single sound coming out.
Judith raised her chin, meeting Florence's terrified gaze with unnerving calmness.
"Mrs. Sloan. It's been a long time," Judith said, her voice cool.
"Mrs. Gilmore... what are you..." Florence stammered, entirely caught off guard before forcing another painfully stiff smile. "I hope your health has been well?"
"Thanks to you, I'm perfectly fine," Judith replied sharply. She then turned her gaze toward Lavinia, her expression softening instantly. "My grand-daughter-in-law is keeping me company for a checkup. Mrs. Sloan, how exactly do you know Lavinia?"
Florence's eyes widened in horror. "Grand-daughter-in-law?"
"Yes. Garnett's wife. They've been married for two years," Judith stated clearly.
All the color drained from Florence's face.
Out of pure instinct, she jerked her hand back to hide it behind her back. But as she moved, her sleeve slipped down, exposing a sliver of flawless, emerald-green jade.
Judith's eyes locked onto the bangle. She stared at it for a long second, her lips pressing into a hard, thin line.
"Lavinia, we are not going to swallow this insult. I promise you, I will make sure you walk out of the Harper family with your head held incredibly high."
Lavinia managed a shaky smile. "I'm fine, Grandma. I have the best grandmother in the world, and that's enough."
The checkup went smoothly. The moment they stepped out of the hospital doors, Judith turned to her assistant. "Maeve. Tell Garnett to come to the estate immediately."
Maeve gave a sharp nod, understanding exactly what was about to happen. She immediately pulled out her phone to call him.

Receiving his grandmother's urgent call, Garnett rushed over to the Gilmore Estate.
Judith was waiting for him in the tea room, just as always. But as Garnett walked in, he noticed Maeve standing quietly in the corner.
There was a stack of papers sitting squarely on the table. Garnett glanced down at the cover page and froze.
It was a divorce agreement.
