Aurora's fingers curled into tight fists. "Joshua, did Stella Cameron say something to you? She and I have a history, so she must have—"

Joshua cut her off with a dismissive wave. "Stella might have issues with you, but Queenie Burton was your best friend. Surely her words hold some truth?"

Without even needing to ask, Aurora knew exactly what Queenie had told him.

In that moment, a suffocating wave of hatred washed over Aurora, making her wish she could tear Queenie apart.

"Those who deceive me never meet a good end," Joshua continued, his voice devoid of emotion. "However, considering how pathetic you look today, I won't take any action myself. I suggest you watch your back."
