The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 328

Nora: [He doesn't play games.]

Felix: [No, no, no. He is the ultimate Pro Carry in our hearts.]

Nora: [He might look like a pro gamer, but he doesn't actually play.]

Cassidy: [Honestly, you guys really don't want to know what real pro gamers look like in person.]

Jasmine: [What do we do? I feel like we don't have enough people for a full squad.]

So Cassidy pulled in a few of her old college gaming buddies.

The chat immediately became chaotic.

Since Nora didn't play, she had nothing to contribute. She exchanged a few polite pleasantries before getting bored and getting out of bed to find Maloney.

Maloney was working in his study. The door was open, and Nora could hear his voice the second she stepped out of the bedroom.

He was negotiating a deal in fluent English.

Nora quietly walked to the doorway and stood there, listening intently until he finished the call before slipping inside.

"You're awake?" Maloney looked up at her, opening his arms slightly. "Come here."

Nora naturally walked right into his embrace.

It was as if their little bickering session at lunch had never happened.

Maloney wrapped his arms tightly around her.

"Yeah, I'm up," she hummed.

Seeing that she was still a bit groggy, Maloney pressed a soft kiss to her eyelids.

It tickled, but she quietly let him. Maloney grew more absorbed in the kiss, his arms tightening around her waist until Nora lost her balance. Gripping his shoulders, she whispered, "Do you want to do that?"

Maloney murmured against her skin, "Do what?"

"What we did the other day." Nora tilted her head back, instinctively looking out the window. The study faced the backyard, so she couldn't point to The Apple Tree out front. Suddenly, she didn't know how to phrase it.

Maloney immediately caught her meaning. "No."

"Just a kiss," he whispered.

"Then next time you want to do that, give me a heads up."

"Alright."

"That requires the big bed. For everything else, the small one is fine."
