The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 52

Arriving at the hotel, Riley found the manager and requested access to the security feeds.

The manager led her directly to the security room.

The staff informed her that the system had malfunctioned earlier that evening. The footage between seven and eight o'clock was completely gone.

It was the exact timeframe when Seraphina had supposedly been drugged. The coincidence was absolutely ridiculous.

It was a major event celebrating their daughter's first month. To ensure nothing went wrong on such an important day, the hotel would have meticulously checked all their security protocols beforehand. How could the cameras magically fail at that precise moment?

Riley had only been suspicious before, but now she was utterly certain. Tonight's disaster wasn't an accident; it was a premeditated trap.

And the person behind it was almost certainly Seraphina.

She couldn't sit on this. She had to tell Pierce.

Riley pulled out her phone and dialed her husband's number, intending to ask which hospital they were at.

But it just kept ringing, going entirely unanswered.

So much for his promise to always pick up her calls immediately. Liar.

After the call went to voicemail, Riley thought for a moment. The closest public hospital was the Third General, and slightly further out was the private hospital owned by the Landon family.

She decisively drove toward the latter.

On the way, she mentally rehearsed how she was going to explain this to him.

Seraphina definitely wouldn't admit to any of it.

Without concrete proof, would Pierce even believe her?
