The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 150

Riverview Heights.

The doorbell chimed. Seraphina threw the door open, her face lighting up as she flung her arms around Pierce's neck. "Pierce, I missed you so much," she cooed, leaning in for a kiss.

Pierce turned his face away in disgust, peeling her off him. He kicked the door shut and glared at her with glacial hostility. "Who authorized you to come back?"

Seraphina stepped forward, wrapping her arms around his waist again. "It's been over twenty days. Didn't you miss me?"

He shoved her away roughly. "Didn't I make it perfectly clear? You were never to return to Riverport without my permission."

She stuck out her bottom lip, laying the innocence on thick. "I just wanted to see you."

Pierce seized her by the wrist. "Let's go. I'm taking you straight to the airport."

Her sweet facade shattered. She had groveled and pleaded, and yet he was still trying to discard her. "Riley doesn't even want you anymore! Why are you still trying to get rid of me?"

Riley doesn't want you. The words stabbed into Pierce like jagged glass. His expression darkened ominously. "My life is none of your business."

"She signed the settlement and filed the papers! She's never coming back!" Seraphina grabbed his arm in desperation. "Isn't it better without her? We can finally be a real family. You, me, and our baby!"

His eyes turned into icy daggers. He seized her shoulders in a vice-like grip. "How do you know about the settlement and the papers? Who told you?"

His fingers were digging viciously into her flesh. She winced in agony. "Pierce, you're hurting me."

"Tell me!" he roared, squeezing harder, his voice deadly. "Who told you?"

The agonizing pressure felt like her collarbones were snapping. All the blood drained from her face. "Riley! Riley told me!"

A wave of utter confusion washed over his fury. "You were out of town. How did she tell you?"

"I don't know how she got my number, but she called me!" Seraphina whimpered, cold sweat dotting her forehead. "Please, let go. You're crushing me."

Pierce abruptly released her. "What exactly did she say?" he demanded.
