On the way, Arthur took the initiative to strike up a conversation with Sebastian, keeping the topics light and centered around daily life. Chatting about everyday matters was the easiest way to bridge the distance between people.
Unexpectedly, Sebastian steered the conversation toward business. "Does Landon Enterprises have any promising investment projects coming up?"
Arthur's eyes lit up with delight. Sebastian possessed razor-sharp instincts. The projects he invested in never failed to turn a profit. That was precisely how he had managed to propel St. John Global to entirely new heights in the mere two years since taking over.
If they could secure his guidance, the risks of Landon Enterprises' investments would plummet. It seemed Sebastian truly cared about the Landon family.
Arthur eagerly turned to Pierce, who had been staring out the window ever since he got in the car. "Pierce, tell your brother about the new projects the company is considering. Let him give us his expert opinion."
Pulling himself together, Pierce went into detail about several upcoming projects they were eyeing.
Sebastian barely spoke. Only after Pierce finished outlining each project did he offer a few piercing, incisive comments. Though brief, his remarks cut straight to the core of the issues, though he never explicitly stated whether they should or shouldn't invest.
Investments were inherently unpredictable. No one could guarantee a sure thing.
But finally, he spoke. "St. John Global will co-invest in the AI technology project."
Surprise flashed across Pierce's face. While he was highly confident in the project himself, he knew St. John Global's proprietary AI research was already at the absolute pinnacle globally. Why would they bother co-investing?
Arthur, however, was ecstatic. With St. John Global's backing, this project was guaranteed to make a massive profit. "Then I'll have Pierce coordinate with Mr. Finch when we get back?"
Sebastian lowered his gaze, his long, elegant fingers slowly rolling the rosewood beads on his wrist. His voice was cool and even. "That won't be necessary."
