The woman had her back to Riley, so Riley couldn't see her face. She only saw a tall, slender silhouette. The woman had her hair half-tied up like a princess and wore a flowy, off-the-shoulder white dress. As she walked backward, her entire demeanor radiated playfulness and vivacity.
Rumor had it that Sebastian kept his distance from women. This was the first time Riley had ever seen a woman by his side. For her to be able to enter his private residence, their relationship had to be extraordinary.
For a man in Sebastian's high position, his private life was likely strictly confidential.
Realizing this, Riley immediately looked away, pretending she hadn't seen anything, and prepared to leave. Just then, Sebastian's deep, clear voice rang out behind her.
"Riley."
Riley froze, a flicker of distress crossing her eyes. Did this powerful man have to have such good eyesight?
After freezing for two seconds, she turned around, looked at Sebastian, and smiled in greeting. "Sebastian."
Winona turned around, her scrutinizing gaze sweeping over Riley before she looked up at Sebastian. "Sebastian, who is this?"
Now that the woman had turned around, Riley could see her face. She was beautiful. Her eyes were as clear and bright as gemstones washed in spring water. Her radiant complexion was full of youthful vitality; she looked to be in her early twenties.
Sebastian's lips parted slightly. "Pierce's wife."
Winona looked back at Riley. "Oh, so you're part of the Landon family." She walked over to Riley and extended her hand. "Hi, I'm Winona Spencer."
Riley shook her hand politely. "Hello, I'm Riley."
"Are you here to see Sebastian?"
Noticing Sebastian's gaze on her after Winona's question, Riley hastily waved her hands. "No, no. I was just taking a walk and ended up here by accident."
"We're heading over to Lady Eleanor's place. Do you want to come with us?" Winona offered enthusiastically.
Riley didn't want to be a third wheel and disturb them. Just as she was about to refuse, Sebastian spoke up first. "It's almost time for lunch. Let's walk over together."
Riley blinked, momentarily stunned.
