The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 121

She recalled the time she had suffered a severe hemorrhage. She had smelled Sebastian's scent in her dreams back then, too. What just happened must have been a dream as well.

"My apologies. I didn't mean to wake you," the man's deep, crisp voice rang out.

Riley snapped back to reality. Seeing that Sebastian had finished his phone call, she shook her head. "It's fine, Sebastian. What brings you here?"

Sebastian looked at Riley's slightly flushed face, still heavy with sleep. After a brief second, he looked away. "I came to discuss some business with Pierce."

So he was looking for Pierce. "He went golfing with Grandpa Arthur."

Sebastian gave a slight nod and stood up. "I'll take my leave then."

Riley stood up to see him out. "Take care, Sebastian."

Reaching the door, Sebastian paused. "Did you need me for something?"

Riley looked completely bewildered. "No, I didn't."

Sebastian stared at her for two seconds before stepping out.

Standing at the door, Riley watched Sebastian's tall, upright figure descend the stairs. She couldn't help but mutter internally. How strange. Why would he suddenly ask if she needed him?

When had she ever looked for him?

Suddenly, Riley remembered that when they first arrived at the estate, she had asked Franklin if Sebastian lived here and if he would be back tonight. Did Franklin tell him?

Oh, right! The gift.

Riley hurriedly called out, "Sebastian, wait a moment."

Sebastian froze. After a couple of seconds, he turned around. "Yes?"

"I actually did need to see you. Wait right there." Riley turned and rushed back into the room. A moment later, she emerged holding the present. Walking up to him, she held it out. "This is for you."
