‘I used to see you sitting here,” Blake said quietly. “Thought you were the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. Too proud to come talk to you

though.”

‘I only told this tree how I felt,” I admitted, surprising myself.

Blake turned me around, his eyes intense. “I love you, Aria. I love you so much I’d give up everything for you-even my life.”

My face got hot. I pushed his chest, stepping back. “Blake! Everyone can see us. What about your whole CEO image?”

He grinned, not embarrassed at all. “Don’t care who sees.”

Before I could answer, Olivia’s voice boomed across the garden. “Oh my God! Look at our little prince and princess!”

We turned to see William and Aurora making their entrance with Richard and Elaine. My breath caught. My kids looked absolutely perfect -William in his tiny suit, Aurora in her frilly pink dress. They walked down the balloon-covered steps like little royalty.

Guests started gushing immediately.

“They’re gorgeous!”

“Got all the good genes!”

“Perfect little angels!”

Olivia stood up front cheering while her son Ethan rolled his eyes.

William blushed but kept his posture straight. Aurora’s cheeks turned pink as she scanned the crowd, looking for me. The second she spotted me, she broke away from Richard and ran over.

‘Mommy, up!” Aurora demanded, arms out. “Everyone staring! Aurora shy!”

I picked her up, kissing her warm cheek. ‘Sweetie, they’re looking because they think you’re amazing.”

With Aurora in my arms, I walked to William, who was quietly taking everything in with those serious eyes.

Blake came over, looking emotional. “When I see these two incredible kids, I can’t even find the right words.”

His eyes were getting watery, the tough businessman act completely gone.

“William, Aurora,” he said, voice thick, “being your dad is the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m grateful every day that your mom brought you into this world three years ago, even with all the crap she had to deal with.”

Olivia stepped forward, giving Blake a look. ‘You better thank Aria properly. You know what she went through for these babies?”

Blake went pale, clearly uncomfortable.

Olivia kept going. Three years ago, Aria almost lost these kids. Not just from the poisoning, but from losing people she loved and you crushing her emotionally. She was falling apart. She fought like hell to bring them safely into this world.”

‘Olivia, I jumped in, seeing Blake squirm. “The twins need to blow out their candles. Want to lead everyone in singing? You’re their

favorite godmother.

Olivia smirked. “Well, obviously I should lead it. Who else could do it right?”

The awkwardness melted away as Elizabeth rolled out this amazing two-tier cake covered in storybook characters. Heart-shaped candles

flickered on top while Olivia led everyone in the loudest Happy Birthday ever.

William and Aurora looked at each other, closed their eyes, and blew out the candles together.

Even though it wasn’t my wish to make, I silently prayed: Please let William’s surgery work. Let my babies grow up happy and healthy.

“Mommy, Aurora tugged my sleeve. “Do birthday wishes really come true?”

I smoothed her hair. “If Aurora wants it really, really bad and believes with her whole heart, then yes-the wish will try its hardest to

come true.”

“Good!” Aurora nodded seriously. “Because Aurora wished for William’s operation to work!”

My heart melted. My little girl and I had wished for the same thing. This kid, just turning four, already had such a big heart.

Olivia took charge again, directing the twins to cut the first pieces. “Remember,” she said seriously, “we don’t waste food and we respect the birthday stars. No cake fights!”

Everyone laughed and dug into the chocolate cake Elizabeth had ordered. The whole vibe was perfect and happy-exactly what I wanted

for my kids’ special day.

With cake in hand, I looked around for Rebecca. I wanted to make sure she was having fun. But as I walked through the guests, I realized

she was nowhere to be found.
