The CEO's Regret: His Lost Wife's Secret Twins novel Chapter 224

Chapter 224

“You promised not to kill me,” she whimpered.

“I’m not killing you,” I replied. “I avoided every vital organ. You’ll live to face justice.”

I called for my security team. They rushed in, surveying the scene without emotion.

“Sir, your orders?” one asked.

*Patch her up enough to stop the bleeding, then take her to the hospital for a full examination.”

Emma’s eyes widened in panic. “Why do I need an examination?”

I looked down at her, my expression hard. “Aria wants to know what secrets you’ve been hiding in your medical files.”

“What are you talking about?” Her voice trembled.

“Why did Dr. Smith hide your medical information? For sixteen years, you’ve insisted only he could treat your so-called spine condition.” I leaned closer. “What are you really hiding, Emma?”

EMMA

My back went rigid and my face turned cold. No way. He couldn’t possibly know. Nobody could know.

“I’m not hiding anything!” I shouted, trying to push myself up despite the searing pain. “This is complete bullshit! I refuse to be

examined!”

Blake towered over me, his face a stone mask. “I only believe what I see with my own eyes. When those test results come back tomorrow,

everyone will know the truth.”

‘You can’t force me-

“Actually, I can,” he cut me off. “And after your examination, FBI agents will be waiting outside your door.”

I couldn’t process what I was hearing. “After stabbing me multiple times, you’re throwing me in prison too?”

Blake’s mouth twisted into a cold smile. “Why do you think I publicly released evidence of your involvement in Aaron’s murder fifteen minutes ago? Of course it was to make sure you rot in jail.”

The room spun around me. This couldn’t be happening. Not to me. Not after everything I’d sacrificed.

“You love her that much?” I screamed, feeling my wounds throb with each word. “You’d completely destroy me just to avenge precious

Aria?”

“I love her, Blake stated simply. ‘Isn’t that what you’ve known for sixteen years?’

I glared at him, hating how calm he remained.

‘You’ve trashed Aria at every opportunity because you knew I fell for her instantly,” he continued, almost talking to himself. “I’ve loved her for sixteen years. And she’s loved me too.”

The realization seemed to hit him suddenly, softening his expression for a moment before he turned away. His shoulders slumped as he

walked toward the door-a king who’d lost everything that mattered.

The security guys looked at me with undisguised disgust before leaving to get medical supplies. The moment the door closed, I let out a

scream of pure rage, my body shaking uncontrollably.

The pain from my stab wounds was nothing compared to the humiliation burning through me. Blake had chosen her-AGAIN! After everything I’d done, after sixteen years of scheming, he still wanted that worthless nobody!

I couldn’t let them win. I couldn’t let Blake discover that I never saved him from the Manhattan fire sixteen years ago. That was Aria- always fucking Aria! I’d just taken advantage of his amnesia, claiming her heroism while she lay unconscious in the hospital.

My hands shook as I reached for the iPhone still hidden in my pocket. If I couldn’t have Blake, neither could she. I would become the permanent wedge between them, making sure they could never be together without this shadow hanging over them.

“I’ll be the obstacle you can never overcome,” I hissed, dialing the familiar number. “Even if you love each other, you’ll never be together without this hanging over your heads!”

While the security team was gone, I made the call that would change everything. My revenge would be complete. They might have exposed me, but I would make them pay the ultimate price.

The line connected.

“I’ll work with you, I whispered, ignoring the blood pooling beneath me. “But we gotta move fast.”

Blake was absolutely terrifying. If he found out about our plan, I’d be dead meat-way worse than this. The guy was a total psycho. We couldn’t wait around anymore. Time was running out, and if Blake caught on, I was screwed.
