Just then, Wynn's phone suddenly vibrated.
It was Miles again.
Seeing that Trevor still hadn't replied after so long, he tagged him in the group chat once more. "Where are you?"
This time, Trevor finally replied. "What is it?"
Seeing that Trevor had no intention of answering his first question, Miles assumed he simply didn't think it was worth responding to.
Besides, Trevor himself wanted to get divorced as soon as possible.
Yet these past few times, every time the mandatory waiting period ended, he kept getting held up by one thing or another and was unable to divorce Celeste smoothly. So, he was probably quite frustrated about it himself.
Thinking that way, Miles didn't dwell on Trevor ignoring his first question.
He asked instead, "Still not free these next few days? Want to go out and hang around together this weekend?"
Seeing Miles's question, Wynn paused.
Almost immediately after, Trevor replied in the group. "No. I have things to do this weekend."
Miles immediately asked, "What things?"
Trevor didn't reply.
Miles then questioned. "What do you mean by that?"
When Trevor still didn't respond, Miles promptly tagged Wynn in the group.
"Confess honestly. Do you two have some big plans this weekend, so it's inconvenient to bring Beck and me along?"
Wynn didn't reply.
Looking at Trevor's latest message, she clenched her hand, hesitated for a moment, then sent Trevor a private message.
"I saw the messages in the group. Are you really busy all weekend? Is it something very important? I have something I want to talk to you about. Can we meet tonight?"
At that point, the group chat finally went quiet.
Wynn put down her phone, intending to calm herself and focus on work. Just then, her phone rang again.
It was a message from Trevor. "Sorry, I have something on tonight."
Looking at Trevor's reply, Wynn's gaze darkened.
He didn't ask what she wanted to talk about, nor did he send any further messages afterward. He seemed extremely cold and distant.
Clutching her phone tightly, Wynn just stared at the screen.
After a long while, she took a breath and finally replied, "Alright then, next time."
Seeing that her expression didn't look too good, Lilian and the others didn't know what had happened.
Ruby seemed to think of something and said gently, "Wynn, I think Trevor definitely still cares about you. As long as you take the initiative and contact him more, you and Trevor will surely be back to how things were very soon."
