Chloe, under her umbrella, said sweetly, “I hope Noah gets back before the exam starts.” Alice, holding her black umbrella, stared ahead, ignoring her. Chloe, frustrated, stomped off. She’d wanted Alice to discover the problem during the exam. Alice’s luck was unbelievable. The rain intensified. Alice called Jack.

Alice sat down, the bell ringing just as the principal rushed in, holding supplies for the exam proctor to check and then gave them to Alice. Alice was surprised. Why was he here? She didn’t have time to dwell on it.
Time ticked away. After the first exam, Alice felt relieved. Leaving the exam hall, she looked the sky, feeling optimistic..

At the school gate, Noah rushed over.“Alice, how are you? The rain caused traffic, and the driver took a wrong turn. I found supplies, but I’m late.” He was drenched, his face filled with guilt.. Alice’s expression was cold. She should have expected this. She was used to her brothers” disappointments. Indifference meant no pain.
Noah looked at her anxiously.“Alice, say something! Yell at me!”
Alice stepped back, creating distance. Noah’s heart sank.
Chloe ran up.“Noah, you’re late! This will affect Alice’s exam!” Seeing Alice’s impassive face, she felt a surge of triumph.
Noah looked at Alice, full of guilt. T’m sorry. If this affects you, I’ll help you retake the exam!” Alice sneered.“Noah, let it go.”
Noah was stunned. What did she mean? He’d rather she yelled at him than be indifferent, treating him like a stranger!

Chapter 51
Alice turned to see Jack standing there, holding a black umbrella, waiting quietly. She ran over.“Did you ask the principal to get me supplies?”
Jack, seeing her smile, knew the incident hadn’t affected her. He suppressed his annoyance. “Yes.”
“Thank you! You saved me!” Alice rubbed her stomach. “I’m hungry. Let’s eat. I have another exam this afternoon.”
As Alice got into the car, Noah’s frantic voice echoed, “Alice, where are you going? I need to talk!”
He reached for the car door, his heart racing. Alice’s expression was flat. “Unnecessary.
“Alice, I didn’t mean to be late.”
Alice’s gaze was unwavering. “I know. Can
you let go now?”
But Noah didn’t. He was afraid to. He had a bad feeling that if he let go, Alice

Garrett couldn’t stand it anymore. He grabbed Noah’s collar. Dude, this is ridiculous!”
I’m her brother! What’s so funny?” Noah was losing control.
Garrett scoffed. I’ve never seen such a useless brother! You guys prepared her supplies, and they mysteriously broke. You made her wait, and you were late. Are you guys that malicious?” Garrett had witnessed Alice’s struggles and couldn’t take it anymore. This was insane! It was obvious the supplies hadn’t broken accidentally!
Noah was stunned.“I didn’t know.”
Then find out! Why are you harassing Alice, forcing her to forgive you? I’m worried that next time, her food will be tampered with, and she’ll get diarrhea and miss the exam!” Garrett didn‘
hold back.
Noah was shoved aside, stumbling as Alice drove away. He felt a wave of panic–his first in thirty
years.
Chloe, feigning concern, approached. “Noah, Alice is right to be angry. You were late. But the exam is important. Let her come home.” If Alice left, her plans would be ruined.
Noah was breaking down. His voice was hoarse. “Where’s the butler? He prepared the supplies!” He wanted to know why Alice’s supplies were damaged.
Chloe was tense.“Noah, why are you suspecting the butler? He prepared my supplies, and they were fine.”
Noah, his face stern, strode away. Chloe frantically texted the butler:[Noah is investigating. Be careful.]
Even though Alice left, it might affect her performance. Good. Alice seemed done with Noah.
In the car, Alice looked at the lessening rain. It was quiet. Jack looked at her, his tone calm.“Don’t let this affect you. Don’t go back for the next few days.”
Alice nodded. “That’s what I was thinking. The apartment is easier.”
The rain stopped by the afternoon exam. Alice took the exam smoothly. The math problems were difficult, but she felt confident. Leaving the exam hall, she heard students complaining about the difficulty.
At the school gate, she saw Noah. She paused, then walked in another direction. “Alice, I brought the butler to apologize.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Six Brothers Plea for Forgiveness (Alice)
This story is incomplete!!! You get us into the story then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Plus there's so many errors. It is obvious that English is second ( or 3rd) language. Author has mixed up names on several characters. Mixed up he/she , him/her. Made story too long by repetitive sentences. Made it look like the reader wasnt able to retain parts of the story by repeating certain aspects. I know authors do that but this author did it too often. This story lets you see what an eye for an eye would mean to some cultures. Needs MAJOR proof reading. Pro: great family drama. The one emotion you feel the most in this story is anger & discuss. There are a few funny (actually hilarious) parts in there. You want the good guy to win even though he may been at fault for something. You want justice for Alice and you want to see her independent from her brothers totally. I feel the author is on the right track but just needs to clean it up....
Except Alice's and Jack's names, all other names are mixed. And why there is LUKE'S FATHER instead of EATHEN...
I want yo ask that wht Alice's surname is keep on changing from Wolsh to Windham to Lu???? And Andrew to Garett? And Jane's name to Chloe as well...
