Chapter 349-1
Jack could barely see; the visibility was extremely low. He yelled, “Alice, where are you? He frantically searched, feeling time stretch endlessly.
“I’m here,” a faint voice replied. Jack found Alice huddled behind a vase near a window, clutching the prototype. He rushed to her, wrapping his coat around her.“You risked your life for a prototype?” His voice was laced with anger.
Alice coughed violently. The smoke was acrid.
“Don’t talk. I’ll get you out,” Jack said, shielding her and rushing towards the exit. The fire had intensified, blocking their path.
Alice saw the flames and felt a surge of anxiety. Jack had risked his life to save her! Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze. Jack carried Alice outside, anxiously checking for injuries. But Alice was examining the prototype. Relieved it was undamaged, she looked at Jack excitedly. “See? It’s fine! I saved it!”
Jack, initially angry, saw her smile and his anger dissipated. She was such a fool! Was the prototype more important than her life?
He said sternly, “You were risking your life! Are you crazy?”
Alice said, “I didn’t expect the fire to spread so quickly. The prototype was due next week. What if we couldn’t present it? What would happen to the company?” She couldn’t let her hard work go
to waste.
Jack gently tapped her forehead.“Is the company more important than
life? your
It’s our project. I couldn’t let it be destroyed,” Alice replied, noticing his amused expression. She quickly added, “I mean… so much time and money had been invested. We couldn’t afford any mistakes.”
› Jack was surprised by her strong work ethic. He’d nearly had a heart attack. Relieved she was okay, he asked, “How did the fire start?” There were no flammable materials in the room. Alice frowned.“Someone tampered with the machine; it short–circuited.” She’d seen it clearly. But the machine

Andrew Yates arrived.“I’ll handle things here. Little Lemon, go to the hospital. You inhaled harmful smoke.”

Alice gave the prototype to Andrew Yates.“Keep it safe.” She felt this fire wasn’t accidental. Alice realized her throat and nose were bothering her. Even though she’d covered her face, she’d inhaled some smoke.
Jack, seeing her discomfort, took her hand.“Let’s go to the hospital.”
A team leader exclaimed, “Alice, your leg is bleeding!”
Alice looked down; her calf was bleeding from
a burn she hadn’t noticed.

The readers' comments on the novel: Six Brothers Plea for Forgiveness (Alice)
This story is incomplete!!! You get us into the story then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Plus there's so many errors. It is obvious that English is second ( or 3rd) language. Author has mixed up names on several characters. Mixed up he/she , him/her. Made story too long by repetitive sentences. Made it look like the reader wasnt able to retain parts of the story by repeating certain aspects. I know authors do that but this author did it too often. This story lets you see what an eye for an eye would mean to some cultures. Needs MAJOR proof reading. Pro: great family drama. The one emotion you feel the most in this story is anger & discuss. There are a few funny (actually hilarious) parts in there. You want the good guy to win even though he may been at fault for something. You want justice for Alice and you want to see her independent from her brothers totally. I feel the author is on the right track but just needs to clean it up....
Except Alice's and Jack's names, all other names are mixed. And why there is LUKE'S FATHER instead of EATHEN...
I want yo ask that wht Alice's surname is keep on changing from Wolsh to Windham to Lu???? And Andrew to Garett? And Jane's name to Chloe as well...
