Meanwhile, Jack looked at the he received, narrowing his eyes slightly.
“Jack, who’s texting you?”
Jack locked his phone.
Andrew raised an eyebrow.“Judging by the profile picture, it’s a girl. Could it be that girl you helped the other day, the one named…Alice, right?”
“You talk too much.”
“I know you’re hiding something. You were working overtime at the infirmary all last week, then suddenly stopped. You’ve been sulking these days; did you have a falling out with her?”
Jack turned his head, his eyes dangerous.“Don’t be curious about my business.”
“We grew up together! There’s nothing I don’t know about you. Stop pretending!”
Jack took his phone to the balcony. He looked down at the chat. In her eyes, was the infirmary a secret base? He instinctively smiled, opening her Moments. It was mostly casual shares, very girly. After a while, he suddenly realized he had lingered too long on her profile; it felt a bit out of control.
Jack exited the chat and went back inside.

but received no reply. Was he mad? She didn’t dare message him again, deciding to wait until Monday when the exam results came out.
The entire weekend, Alice stayed home studying. Chloe and the brothers didn’t come back either; they were staying at the training camp.
–Monday morning.
Alice went downstairs and finally saw Chloe and her brothers. They were laughing and chatting, clearly closer than ever. Alice said nothing, heading straight to the dining room for breakfast. Luke’s tone dripped with sarcasm:“Results are out today, right?”
Alice nodded.“Yes.”
won’t
“I told you to join the team. With your grades, you
into get any good college anyway. Instead of wasting time studying, you might as well train to be a pro gamer. With the resources the Welch family provides, becoming famous is only a matter of time. Too bad you didn’t seize that chance; now Chloe has it.”
Alice remembered the humiliation of being replaced in her past
life.
She replied calmly, “I don’t care.”
After grabbing breakfast, Alice left the hall.
Seeing Alice’s indifferent demeanor, Luke was furious:“I can’t wait to see her ‘great results‘.” Chloe, seeing Alice hadn’t agreed to join the team, breathed a sigh of relief. She knew Alice was naturally talented at gaming; if Alice joined, she’d be out of a spot! But she still smiled and said, “Luke, don’t be angry. Alice is just throwing a tantrum. Once she agrees to join the team, I’ll gladly give her my spot.”

Luke nodded approvingly.“You’re the most understanding!”

The smile on Chloe’s face faltered; she was deeply resentful. She’d been practicing furiously to gain Luke’s approval, only to find that he still seemed to think Alice was better. She made a silent vow to achieve success in gaming, to crush Luke’s desire for Alice to join the team. Luke looked worried; the revival match was crucial, and if they lost, there would be no second chances. Although Chloe was trying hard, her gaming talent just wasn’t enough. With only a month left until the revival match, Chloe’s skills were nowhere near sufficient. To beat that kid from the Wilson family, they needed someone with real skill! And Alice was the only one. But he couldn’t bring himself to beg her. For years, Alice had revolved around him, timidly trying to please him. He was so used to their sibling dynamic that he couldn’t change it overnight. How long was Alice going to throw a tantrum? Did she have to force him to back down?

The readers' comments on the novel: Six Brothers Plea for Forgiveness (Alice)
This story is incomplete!!! You get us into the story then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Plus there's so many errors. It is obvious that English is second ( or 3rd) language. Author has mixed up names on several characters. Mixed up he/she , him/her. Made story too long by repetitive sentences. Made it look like the reader wasnt able to retain parts of the story by repeating certain aspects. I know authors do that but this author did it too often. This story lets you see what an eye for an eye would mean to some cultures. Needs MAJOR proof reading. Pro: great family drama. The one emotion you feel the most in this story is anger & discuss. There are a few funny (actually hilarious) parts in there. You want the good guy to win even though he may been at fault for something. You want justice for Alice and you want to see her independent from her brothers totally. I feel the author is on the right track but just needs to clean it up....
Except Alice's and Jack's names, all other names are mixed. And why there is LUKE'S FATHER instead of EATHEN...
I want yo ask that wht Alice's surname is keep on changing from Wolsh to Windham to Lu???? And Andrew to Garett? And Jane's name to Chloe as well...
